The snowflake theme sounds wonderful. I would go with navy and silver or white. You can have the bridesmaids wear navy and use metallic ribbons on the bouquets to tie in the silver. Your invitations could be silver with navy writing or vice versa. Winter always reminds me of navy and silver for some reason.

Certainly! Jan 19th is a perfect date for a snow flake wedding! Most of the colors have been mentioned already but almost any color can be turned into a "winter color" all it needs is to be softened and silver frosted.

Congratulations on the engagement! Good Luck!

Oh yeah, it's considered a winter wedding. And, snowflakes as a theme, I think, would be really pretty!

I had a December wedding, and my colors were red, black, and silver. I and the groom wore white, my girls wore black dresses and carried red roses. The guys wore black tuxedos. The best man wore a silver vest and tie. And my Maid of Honor wore a silver dress. All red roses for flowers!

It was beautiful!

The Church was also decorated with Pointsettas throughout.... and there was a big Christmas tree in the center of the Altar. Gorgeous!

Heheee....

I'm unfortunately divorced now, but the wedding was beautiful! HA!

Yeah. Thats definatly a winter wedding because it is too soon to be spring. No its not too late to do snowflake decorations and have that winter theme. As for colors, you should use a egg-shell white and light sky blue. These are wintery colors and they look very elligant and pretty. Have a wonderful wedding day!

Would still be a winter wedding. Where I live, you could do the winter theme until the beginning of April lol. Then with easter it might seem a bit weird.

I think having a snowflake theme is perfectly acceptable. It isn't just a Christmas time thing. Some really good colors to choose could be a forest green or even a silver and gold theme.

Jan is still considered a winter month. I would avoid red and green colors or anything specifically xmasy, like Santa Claus and things like that. Snowflakes are okay because it still snows that far into winter.

It depends on where you live. If it's snowy where you live, go with the winter theme. However, if it isn't snowy, then stay away from the winter allusions. In places where is doesn't snow, winter imagery is linked to Christmas.

For example, I live in California, where winter illusions are inappropriate after Christmas. The weather is so nice, people forget that it's winter.

It just might be something that you have to wait a little to see how long the "winter" will last. You know, if its going to be a short winter and we will be having warmer weather then you don't want to have snowflakes up. But it will prob. be really cold out then so, I would would use light blues, and whites. Make it your "winter wonderland" lol. Have it simple, don't over play the winter thing! Good luck!

Last I checked, that's smack dab in the middle of winter (my b-day is the day before and it's always wintery cold where I live). You can definitely have your winter theme. I'd go with icy blue and white or mint green. Stay away from warm colors like pink, wine, red, yellow, etc. Good luck!
