Help end the water crisis in Africa!?

Just kidding. I do have some really important new to share with you though. It’s about a most worthy cause so please keep reading. I found a website that saves lives that you should know about. It’s an organization started by the band Jars of Clay called www.bloodwatermission.com Their primary mission is to build wells in Africa to supply water to those who have no access to it. Every dollar that is donated will supply one African with clean water for one calendar year. Thousands of people die everyday for preventable diseases caused by the drinking of unclean water. You will actually be saving people’s lives by donating.

I’ve decided that I am going to try to do something about this myself. I’ve committed to donate 50% of each t-shirt sale that I make to bloodwatermission. So if I sell a shirt for $18, I will donate $9 to the cause. I think this is a very important thing to get involved in. When I first started my business I wanted to do something like this after my business expanded a great deal. Well the great deal of expansion never happened and now I am trying to figure out how I could make an impact right now. I also feel that access to clean water is the most important form of aid we can send to the African continent. If everyone had this basic necessity, everything else can be dealt with much more easily. Without plentiful clean water, most other forms of aid are useless.

The donations must be guaranteed for water in Africa and not to corrupt politicians in the continent.
