We met once before and again yesterday and had a really nice time....ended up going back to my place and fooled around but didnt have sex coz i refused....slept for a while then he left. I feel terrible coz i want him to respect me and now i feel i've ruined all the chances for that..didnt even want to get physical that soon....what should i do? We are both in our 30s so we are mature.

Well, If you truly felt happy and attracted to him, (physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually etc.) then continue pursuing a relationship. If he does respect you, he wouldn't try to have sex with you, until you are absolutely commited to that endeavor. The second thing is, don't take him back to your apartment again until absolutely necessary. He won't respect you, and you won't respect yourself if you do. Take him to a public place for the next several dates, and if it truly feels like you are "in love", then if your willing and want it, you can engage in any activities you wish. Until then, I would suggest respecting yourself and eventually, if he is a man of principle, he will come around to respecting you just as well as you respect yourself.

He should respect you for not having sex...because what it should be - making love - comes with knowing and trusting that person. If a guy pushes for a romp after just meeting, just put your foot down in a loud stomp...and tell him there is time to grow into a wonderful relationship.

Also, he might respect you more if you didn't type coz. Just a thought.

Well than, he was immature for asking so soon. That is very good you refused. Have more time with him but nothing sexual, you guys need to know eachother more.

guys like that he just wants everything maybe he was like that when he was a kid and he never changed you gotta find a better guy than that cuz that guy must be stupid to leave you there just because you refused find a better guy... i might be a girl but im saying find someone whos not want everything their way

obviously you are not mature because any self-respecting woman would not degrade herself to sex just to be accepted by her partner...he is not worth time if he already wants sex this early
