My cat is thirteen years old and has a lump growing on the back of his neck. It stands proud from his skin and is dark in colour, measureing about quarter of an inch long and one sixth of an inch wide.

um im sure cats can have moles like people have moles. my dog has a mole and he is doing just fine. if it keeps getting biger i would go see a vet about it and see if it can be removed. but good luck to you and your cat.

Cats and dogs can certainly get moles on them, just like people. Now, if it's been getting bigger in the last few months, it may not be a mole- it may be some kind of bite or something that got under his skin and is infected now. Either way, I would go ahead and get it checked out by a vet. Most moles are benign, but some could be cancerous, so the vet will probably do a biopsy and then you'll know for sure. Good luck!

Take her to the vet to be checked but don't worry too much as I have a 13 year old cat who had a mole on her ear it did'nt hurt her but my dad got it off.

You need to take your cat to the vets as this sounds very strange.My cat is the same age as yours instead of having moles on the skin like us she has developed her liver spots on her eyes,as this happens in old age.

PLEASE get your cat to the vet ASAP. That "growth" is not normal, and should be examined. If it's cancerous, it could be like an iceberg and be 75% internal.....only showing 25% of it. Sometimes older cats get benign growths, just like people do, but if a person got something like that, they'd go to a doctor for a checkup. VET=ASAP!! Good luck!

My cat had skin cancer on her ears, so I assume they can get moles too. She needs to see a vet.

I would have it checked up by a vet. Something like that isn't normal, it could be an early sign of cancer.

a cat with a mole.....sounds more like a tumour if its growing that quick ...see a vet!
