You want to know what the cause of global warming is????? I'll tell you! HUMANS! WE ARE THE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING! WE drive the cars that let out carbon dioxide and other chemicals, and WE are the ones who work in factories who pollute the air. WE are the ones who pollute the land we live on. BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ARE TO STUPID TO TAKE CARE OF OUR EARTH!!! THE PLANET THAT GAVE US A PLACE TO LIVE!!! WE are the ones who made the hole in the ozone layer. And WE are the ones are making the ice caps melt! WE ARE THE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING! DON'T get it confused with "its the greenhouse effect" or "its the nautral warming of the earth" or "its the natural cycle of the earth" ITS NOT!!!!!! Its not the NAUTRAL CYCLE!! (now i do agree that there are nautral cycles of this earth, where it warms up and then cools down, that has happened for so long, but this warming is warming faster then it has ever happened before!!) And that is because ITS HAPPENING WAY FASTER THEN ITS SUPPOSED TO WARM UP! AND IF WE DONT START NOW, THEN THE ICE CAPS WILL CONTINUE TO MELT, AND THE OCEAN LEVELS WILL RISE, AND OUR EARTH WILL FLOOD!!!!!!! Wat part of the that DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND PPL!?!

Global warming and cooling cycles are a normal and natural phenomenon of the planet. They have existed since the planet was formed. Global warming melted the glaciers and advanced civilization thousands of years ago. The earth is still warming. Global cooling will be much worse for us than this warming. And that will happen too.

the ozone layer in the sky has holes from gases from factories and cars so the sun can come in with way more rays, which the ozone layer helps to block out causing the so called "perma frost" to melt making the earth flood

Ozone disintegration; deforestation; and so on. There are many reasons that the experts believe in global warming. There are many articles, books, videos, and such on this subject.

The wobble of the earth on its axis . . .
The orbit of the Earth changing from circular to elliptic . . .
The increased and decreased output of the Sun during the 'sunspot cycle' . . . . .
Volcanic eruptions . . .
Changes in the course of oceanic currents . . . .
Natural production of greenhouse gases such as CO2, methane and organic volatiles from nature . . . .
Last and LEAST of the reasons is man's activities on the Earth . . . . .
The current panic over global warming is political and NOT real science . . . But, it is a good thing to keep our nest clean and live in a healthy environment . . .
Please do be economic of our resources, recycle and don't make a mess . . . My children and their children will grow up stronger and healthier in a clean environment . . . .

There is too much confusion and debate about problems with all of the required data to answer that question with any certainty as of right now.

The primary cause are the greenhouse gases such as water vapour, carbon dioixide, methane and nitrous oxide. These allow solar radiation (sunlight) to pass through the atmopshere but impede the escape into space of the longer wavelength thermal radiation (heat readiated from Earth). The more greenhouse gases there are the more thermal raidation (heat) becomes trapped and the warmer the atmopshere becomes, this is what we term the 'greenhouse effect' which is the cause of global warming and subsequent climate change.
There you go, in one paragraph. Damn, now it's two.
