I dont have a scale so I cant really weigh it out. So I was wondering how big it is. Is it the size of your fist or palm?

Since hands come in all sizes (my husbands is twice as big as mine), it's better to figure a 3 oz. portion of meat is about size of a deck of cards or a bar of soap

You had about 6 to 8 ounces of Salmon at the restaurant.

A quarter pounder (4oz) from a fast food restaurant might give you a good idea. I'd guess the size of your fist around, and very thin. The size of your palm and same thickness would be much more than 3oz.

about the size of your palm, maybe a quarter inch thick.

Think of a "Quarter Pounder" at McDonalds... that's 4 ounces.

Nearly 20% of a pound or less than a quarter pound. Micky Dees makes a quarter pounder so go figure.

Palm is a good indication as long as it's not super, super thick.

Generally speaking it is supposed to be about the size of the palm of your hand and the width of your hand as well.
Good Luck!
