If you accept the Lord as your savior and realize what he did for you, you have gained everything!!!! Eternal life, Gods love, endless faith. If you deny him, you spend eternity in Hell. Honestly, what do you have to loose by believing in God????? Absolutley nothing!!!!

Man you atheist have nothing better to do then bash everyone. It makes me laugh because each of you get on here and moch everyone who believes in God, when in reality you are all craving attention to be different and stand out. Your all the same, you all have no life so you have to answer a question that was aimed towards Christians!!! It sucks that your going to be burning in hell.

Pascal's Wager. First you wrongly assume there are only two choices. Then you assume that an omniscient being would be fooled by disingenuous converts. Lastly you believe an omnipotent and loving God would be so needy as to demand that we kowtow to him or burn in Hell.

Well the real problem for me is I cannot TRULY believe in God with what has been presented to me. I agree with your arguement on what do i have to lose, but with that arguement I should choose the Norse religion wherein if you disagree with me, I must kill you or I will never reach Valhalla. But all that "what have you got to lose" arguement aside, if I were to accept God and all that stuff right now, if there is a God, he/she would see through my attempt. I can't FORCE myself into believing anything. I either believe or I don't, and with what I've seen religions do to mankind, and the "evidence" they have of certain stories being true, nothing has been conrete enough to sway me.
Eternal life? No way to prove that to me, and sounds very ambiguous.
Gods love? Listen, it's either a loving god or a vengeful god. If it's a loving God, I have no reason to worry, if it's a vengeful God, why in it's name should I worship it? Seems kind of insecure and petty to me that if I don't thank it all the time it's gonna let me burn for eternity.
Endless faith? So... never questioning your surroundings? Accepting it all at face value? Great way to stunt your intillectual growth in my opinion. I don't mean to sound like a Rage Against the Machine song, but question all authority. The people at the top often have no more clue about what they're doing than you do.
Eternity in Hell? Well, first off, 99% of my friends will be there. Second, what definition of hell are you using. Many describe unspeakable PHYSICAL pain. You're dead. You have no body. Did satan dictate the portion of whatever holy books you're reading for the hell part? He runs it you know. I'd want to hear from him personally. And another thing, making me bow down and thank God because it might hurt later if I don't, that's no way to sway me. Prove to me one is right logically, don't use scare tactics and strong arm me into it, that's not BELIEVING!
So there you go. I'd gain nothing from accepting God and all that. It'd be a feeble attempt at saving my own butt which would go against everything I stand for.
(I know there are misspellings in here, but I'm about to leave work, don't care to go back and correct them now)

As a Christian, I find it a little unsettling that the only reason most religious christians give for their faith is to save their own *** for eternity. That is a pretty shallow goal.
My personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the most wonderful, fulfilling part of life since my children's birth. The reason most people find it hard to believe is century after century of the oldest being in creation (lucifer-first created being, by the Lord) tricking them into thinking their own thoughts are more important than looking around at the supernatural world abounding around them. Secondly, it is not possible to comprehend the Love of God. It is too big, it is too cool, it feels too wonderful to fit into the mundane thoughts of even a person who thinks themselves so happy.

WRONG! the god of the bible is a claim of man as is the god of every other written faith manuscript. So, you have to pick which man is correct, making faith essentially a guess. Your guess could be wrong. Therefore, logically you could have something to "loose" if you guess wrong. If this jesus thing is as big a fairy tale as it looks like, then you are indeed not worshiping the god of the OT. And from what I have read, you don't want to piss him/her off.

People seem to think you lose your will, your mind, and who knows what else, if you believe. There is no way they can understand what the relationship with God is really like. I think some CAN NOT believe. I don't know why. Some fear to believe because of the changes it might make in their lives. The ultimate point is ..It is THEIR right to do so. God never made everyone believe, how could we?..Preach the word then know when it's time to kick the dust from your feet and walk on.

Basically your saying if you don't believe in God you go to hell? Am i correct? Thought so!!! I think it is up to each individual to make up there own minds. What and whom they believe in is entirely there own business. Not all hearts beat the same, and we all tread different paths. We all must respect others decisions, it is, after all there choice.

As an Atheist (I feel thumbs down coming), I am living a perfectly normal life. I live in a two floored house, and have my own room. I have a big family and my grandma is still living (who has been in the hospital quite a few times due to smoking). I am doing well in school, and have quite a few friends. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Plus, my parents are Atheists. They had to work hard for what we have now, and we aren't Christians.

Your religion can be wrong you know. I'm not saying it is, but like all religions there is always a chance to be wrong. And a lot of people just don't believe in God, you can't force yourself to believe in something that you don't believe.

Wait, what do I get if I act now? A free set of knives you say? Wow, I'm going to pray for that God on the screen right now. But wait, there's more you say? I can get all this at the low low price of my intellectual honesty? Wow, how can I pass a offer like that up?
