I guess I am what you would call religous, and I beleive we can, as I do. The world needs more REAL romantic relationships, not just physcial ones. However, I tend to lean toward the more liberal side of Christianity, so I cannot talk for everyone of course.
I think where "religous" people run into problems with gays loving each other on an emotional level is just the inability to see it for what it is because it is so foreign to strait people. The only thing strait people know is loving someone of the same gender on a friendship level. On a love level, for many it is impossible to comprehend, simply because straits were not made that way. Plus add out of context, half-informed texts from the Bible, and that is why there is a problem with the beleif.
However, with a some real, educated information, I beleive it is possible.

Most definetly. Im not gay, but they are humans that love differently. I don't know why christianity gives them such a hard time. God teaches love yet all they do is hate gay people. Gay people are humans and as long as you are a great person, and love your fellow life forms; I'm sure god doesn't mind either.
Christians are the ones who need to work on their love and other things. Not gay people.
Jesus taugh not to discriminate, so why would christians do it.
Love everyone you christians. Do what you teach
Im a gnostic, but I believe in the pagan and wiccan beliefs as well.

I believe so.
Contrary to what many other Christians believe, I don't think that being gay is synonomous with promiscuity or that it is an excuse to pursue deviant sexual gratification. Although this may be the case for some gay people, its certainly the case for some straight people, as well.
No one has the right to judge the emotional connection that two adults share, regardless of what gender they happen to be.

Well now, I am assuming that your use of the "Heart" is metaphorical, right? I mean because technically, well to me there are many body parts involved in the "act" of love making. But even that is just a cute little title that we have applied to sexual interplay isn't? Love....I am not sure that most humans really get it. Look at the evidence. Pick any spot on earth and take a close look into relationships. We don't get it. We look for it, we talk about it, we claim it, but we just don't really understand it. It has been displayed and taught to us by ONE and we killed him. Gay or not Gay who gives a flying.........
I will get off my soap box now...
Thank you...
I feel better

Not considering myself "religious", but one who believes in God. "Religious" people may believe that gays can love each other with their hearts, but they think it is wrong for them to do so. And just because someone is sinning (we all sin) does not mean they do not love God. God will be the judge not us.

Of course! When is love for another person ever wrong?
Love is a beautiful thing. The world would be better off if more people showed love and respect to one another.
Thank you for asking.

Yes. Most do. But I think many just don't care or they don't think its important. I know the Christians certainly seem to be obsessed with the physical sex act instead of the emotions involved.

People do a lot of things that I personally could not imagine.
Because of what I think, doesn't much seem to correlate with what people actually do. It is more focused on what I do, and my responsibilities.
