You still want to look nice. Don't go in jeans and a t-shirt. A nice pair of slacks and a nice shirt (not a t-shirt) would be appropriate and then during the interview if it is not mentioned ask what their dress code for the workers is.
This then will give off a good first impression yet lets them know that you are interested in following their guidlines.
Also make sure that there are no boobs showing or anything like that. To someone who cares for kids that is not what parents or caregivers want kids looking at.
One of the main reasons for dressing nicely in an interview even if it is a casual dress job is so that you make a good first impression that you care about their opinion and that you care about how you present yourself.
Good luck...hope you get the job.

You don't dress the part for an interview, actually, you dress one step above what you would wear every day to work. So, at a day care you would probably wear jeans or khakis and a polo shirt to work, so for the interview wear slacks and a blouse. Good luck on your interview.

Dress professionally, not for the part. Wear a suit or at least a blazer and slacks/skirt combo that shows you are serious about the interview. When I hire people, I expect them to arrive for an interview in business dress, even though at my office they are permitted to wear jeans and collared shirts as long as they are not meeting with a client or exeucitve that day.

For any job interview, you are suppose to dress up. Wear a nice outfit and look as professional as possible. It doesn't matter if the job will require casual dress or not.

I would suggest you wear some slacks and a blouse. That is kind of dressy yet casual at the same time. If you were interviewing in the business world you would wear a suit so I think just a blouse and slacks shows a casual professionalism.

You should dress professionally for every interview, not specifically for the position you are applying for. Even for a place with a relaxed dress code, you want to seem professional during the interview.

You still want to look a little formal, as it is an interview. But not Corporate. I would say a nice skirt (below the knees) with a pretty blouse that has some light color. (You should always wear hose with a skirt to an interview.) Sensible but not ugly shoes.

It doesn't matter where the job is you shld always dressup for the part as it goes, wear black pants, nice top, do your hair what not...you gotta seem interested and it will give the impression to them that you took time to look good or them which shows patience. And one hour or 2 won't hurt you but you will have more chances of getting the job dressing up than going in jeans.

Dress up. You wont be working the day of your interview will you? I mean did they say you would be staying for the day? Probably not. So dress for success and as you would for any job interview in the business world.

ALWAYS dress for the interview in professional clothes. Interviewers know this will be the nicest you'll look and it reinforces the feeling that you are a responsible and trustworthy person.
