Male??? People, gimme a friggin' break. MALE??? This is very immature thinking. No, it's infantile thinking.

God created male and female, so how can the Creator be the created? If God has a gender, then gender existed before God, and we know that nothing existed before God, so God does not have a gender.

Sure, we speak of God in the masculine third person because that's how it was written in the OT and NT. In Semetic languages, nouns are either male or female, there is no neutral pronoun. Therefore, God was always referred to as male. However, that goesn't mean that God is male.

God is neither male nor female. He is not His own creation, no. He is above creation, and needs no gender.

EDIT: Btw, both men and women were created in God's image. God has male and female qualities, so we're created in His image.

If a person still believes that we were literally created in 6 days and that woman was literally created from man's rib, then think of this.... God saved the BEST FOR LAST, THEREFORE WOMEN ARE HIGHER ON THE EVOLUTIONARY SCALE.

God is a male...
Most pre-Judaism religious beliefs had a mother earth figure, which was impregnated by a male father of the gods, a terrestrial figure.

however, in the control freak nature of civilisations about 5000 years BCE, most of the female figures were slowly replaced by male figures.

Judaism made Eve the blame for Adams downfall, and other religions saw the benefits of this to the new Male dominated societies.

Christianity got its power about 200 years after Christ, and by the council of Nicea - many Mary's had been merged into one figure - mother, prostitute, etc.

Islam never conceded an inch to feminism. Luther was very open to letting them have power, but the Pope immediately declared them witches... God is male, - religion is a control device, and it run by men.

We all know God is Morgan Freeman - have you seen Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty?

He plays such an awesome God.

Seriously though, if there were a god I'd expect MALE, however would like to see god portrayed as a female out of curiosity.

"the god" I do not know what "god" you are talking about, but God is portriad as a father and a father in our socirty is commonly a man. Throughout the Bible God and Jesus are always referenced to as males. In the beginning God made Man, a likeness of Himself. I would say man.

Male and female are biological terms. Using them to describe God is completely stupid.
