this come out of a communication that I just had this morning from someone on yahoo answers. If 60,000 babies are born everyday- and 4,000 are aborted does this make the number of abortions few? look at it through the eyes of the Creator, and that one life is worth so much.

thanks Joslyn- I am so glad that I read your answer first, it encouraged me.
God is the only one that has a right to give or take a life- and just because there are kids in foster care, it is not our responsibility to take the life of our children so there will be less- if the foster care would ok those kids to be adopted , that would solve the problem, There are thousands of kids waiting and they are freeing them- by they I am adopted and have 2 adopted children- life is precious.

mgreben- it is not true that we do not care about the babies once born- actually my birth mom did, by placing me in an adoptive family, and my husband and I adopted 2 children. Because I am against abortion , that does not mean I have to physically care for all babies after birth- your argument does not hold water

Abortion
Definition: Abortion is the expulsion of an embryo or a fetus that is not normally able to live outside the womb. Spontaneous abortion or miscarriage may result from human imperfection or from an accident. Deliberately induced abortion simply to avoid the birth of an unwanted child is the willful taking of human life.
How should the Source of human life affect our view of this matter?
Acts 17:28: “By him [God] we have life and move and exist.”
Ps. 36:9: “With you [Jehovah God] is the source of life.”
Rom. 14:12: “Each of us will render an account for himself to God.”
Does Jehovah view the life of a child as precious even during the very early stages of development after conception?
Ps. 139:13-16: “You [Jehovah] kept me screened off in the belly of my mother. . . . Your eyes saw even the embryo of me, and in your book all its parts were down in writing.”
Has God ever stated that a person would be called to account for injury to an unborn child?
Ex. 21:22, 23: “In case men should struggle with each other and they really hurt a pregnant woman and her children do come out but no fatal accident occurs, he is to have damages imposed upon him without fail according to what the owner of the woman may lay upon him; and he must give it through the justices. But if a fatal accident should occur, then you must give soul for soul.” (Some translations make it appear that in this law to Israel the crucial matter was what happened to the mother, not to the fetus. The original Hebrew text, however, refers to a fatal accident to either mother or child.)
How serious is the willful taking of a human life for a reason not authorized by God?
Gen. 9:6: “Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed, for in God’s image he made man.”
1 John 3:15: “No manslayer has everlasting life remaining in him.”
Ex. 20:13: “You must not murder.”
Does a doctor’s opinion that allowing a pregnancy to go full term would be harmful to the health of the mother justify an abortion?
Medical opinions are sometimes wrong. Would it be right to kill a fellow human because that one might harm his fellowman? If at the time of childbirth a choice must be made between the life of the mother and that of the child, it is up to the individuals concerned to make that choice. However, advances in medical procedures in many lands have made this situation very rare.
If Someone Says—
‘But I have a right to decide on matters affecting my own body.’
You might reply: ‘I can understand how you feel. So often today our rights are trampled on by others; many just don’t care what happens to other people. But the Bible provides guidelines that can protect us. To receive the benefits, though, we must also accept the responsibilities.’ Then perhaps add: (1) ‘Many mothers have been abandoned by the men who fathered their children. But in a home where both husband and wife live by Bible standards, the husband will really love his wife and children and loyally stay with them and provide for them. (1 Tim. 5:8; Eph. 5:28-31)’ (2) ‘If we personally are to receive that kind of love and respect, we also have to apply Bible standards in our attitude toward the members of our family. How does the Bible say that we should view the children that we produce? (Ps. 127:3; contrast Isaiah 49:15.)’

One abortion is too many. It's murder. They don't tell the women that they're killing their baby, nor that they will likely suffer from depression after wards. Our inward conscience knows more than we realize. Abortion not only kills the child, but does something to the mother as well.
Before I was saved, I was still against abortion, but I thought, "Oh well, it's the woman's choice." And yes it is a choice, but it's a choice to murder someone or not.
But if anyone reading this has had an abortion, and regret it, know that God forgives through His Son, Jesus. We are all born sinners, and the only way any of us can have our sins forgiven or be in communion with God is through Jesus. Accept Him today, and He will begin a healing process for you. Don't live in condemnation. Find a church where you can get good councel and Bible teaching.

A life is a life and all are created by God and very valueable and precious. Many will ruin their life, but thats not God talking to them to do that. To take the life of another is very serious, as only God is to take a life when its their time to go home. Be you an unborn baby, a disabled person, young or old, male or female, all life is created by God and most valueable. I know many with disabled children and they love that baby almost even more, as God teaches them so much about love and wisdom thru that little child. Noone else is to say whoses live is valueable and whose isnt. God bless you for such a question. If even one life is saved, because of this, can you imagine all of heaven singing? ANd guess what, they are singing just because you thought it and then spoke it. God sees everything and all the evil , He alone will deal with it Just our job to live truth, speak it, without fear or compromise.
God bless you for the awesome question......THANKS

I feel that abortion is murder. Yes, I believe that anyone who has had one can be forgiven. I believe that children are a gift from God and we should raise them to love Him.
When I would not have an abortion, my ex husband tried to make me loose the baby by other means. I thank God that he was unsuccessful and now my son is 15 years old and he too loves God with all his heart.

No most abortionists don't believe that it is a sin. God made man with free will. He made us but he does not control us like a sock puppet. He see's everything we do and is hurt by the evil man has brought onto the earth, but he will not interfere with our doings until the day jesus comes back to judge us for what each and every person has done.

If people knew what they did to abort (kill) these innocent little sweet babies they would vomit. I saw a video once detailing how the doctor kills the baby. We wouldn't do that to an animal. Statistics are cold and impersonal. It's easy for people to look at statistics and vote pro abortion. But to think of this really happening is so terrible to me I can't even conceive how anyone could justify it.

I find it interesting that those who claim to protect the unborn child do not care about that child anymore once it is born.
When it's born, the mother is stigmatized and her child may end up in prison by the age of 16 - and nobody cares.

That one child would have been enough for Christ to have came and paid the debt for. If there had only been one, he still would have done so, that is what that one means to our God.

Oh for the love of God, why put one more child through the horrors of foster care in this country?
The system is PACKED full of kids who will never have permanent homes.
But God wants them to suffer on Earth, huh? That's his "plan"?
