Technologists are jumping on the "transhuman" wave... basically they think technology can, should, and will be used to increase our health, intelligence, and prosperity.

Isn't this anti-Christian? If God wanted our minds and bodies to be more advanced, wouldn't he have done it himself?

Its been in the news recently: http://www.transhumanism.org/index.php/WTA/index/

That's like saying that we'd have been born with wings if God had wanted us to fly, or that God wouldn't have made diseases if He'd wanted them cured! Technology will never change the spirit of mankind, and that is what God is interested in.

If God works in mysterious ways, and operates on the world through the hands and minds of men and women, then isn't scientific accomplishment also God's accomplishment?

Perhaps this is God's way of advancing our minds and bodies.

I don't actually believe that, but I don't see how it is antithetical to Christian theology.
