Probably because they have an opinion and are not doing anything more useful with their time--- just like the rest of us. I am a Christian, but I have answered some questions aimed at Atheists or other groups when I feel I have something to add. If one is on YA, it's not really going out of one's way is it?

It is an open forum.
If the question is really "made for religious believers", such as What has Jesus done for you today?, I stay out of it.
However, sometimes the question, although asked of Christians, contains issues that I want to address. And I feel like I have a right to address them.
BTW: I kinda like the word betta.

Do you have to believe the Loch Ness monster exists to be interested in it and enter into discussions about it? NO.
Many of the Atheists that frequent these boards have more knowledge about religion than those that profess to be bastions of it. You do NOT need to be religious to have a vested interest in it, even if that means debunking many of the claims made by the religious.
And besides, it is our right as human beings to contribute to any question we like. Your question (and it's one that is commonly asked here) is just more evidence that the religious nearly always tend to lean towards the Fascist end of spectrum.

Well, this is an open-forum to talk about religion and spirituality. Just because I am not religious does not mean that I am not spiritual or that I don't have an interest in the subject.
Wouldn't it be pretty boring if you asked religious questions and only got answers from like minded people? Who else is going to help to challenge you and make you think?

I laugh at them when they say things like you guys are shoving your religion down our throats. Ha! Who makes them come here? I would think that they would have other things that they really like like race cars or family or fishing or ball games they could go there and enjoy the questions and have a good time answering them instead of coming to a site to talk about a God they don't believe in and feel forced into coming here to discuss.

I comprehend that according to danger my pals and that i are nevertheless pals because of the fact the situation of concept has by no potential arise. ( If it did i don't be attentive to if we nevertheless could be because of the verbal scuffling with and all) yet I understand all ideals and life. i could no longer approve of them, yet i will tolerant and manage with kindness all and sundry. i'm no longer likely to handle a gay as they weren't a man or woman. i'm no longer likely to ask familiar questions that query my pals concept interior the various gods of Hindu or the different "why" questions. i could prefer to now who available-- Christian or no longer in the event that they sense that anyone could be respected and not bashed because of the fact of what they have faith.

And why do Christians go out of "there" way to answer questions that are made for Jews? I've seen that over and over again. You're a Christian; tell me why?

Most likely they feel free to answer because this is an open forum, it does not exist just for Christians.
I suppose this is another good example of "religious tolerance".

If it's interesting to me, I'll answer it.
Also...why do Christians go out of their way to answer questions that are made for atheists and other religions?
Do Christians have anything better to do or what?
