It should, but most contain vinegar so if you left it out by accident for a few hours, you would be okay.

Anything without vinegar really should be refrigerated.

Once you open a bottle of a sealed product (BBQ sauce, salad dressing, stir-fry sauce, etc.), it exposes the remaining product in the bottle to the natural wild yeast and mold spores in the air. Refrigeration slows down the deterioration of the product. So, yes, refrigerate it, write the date that you opened the bottle (on the cap is a great place), and then try to use it up within a month for best taste and food safety. Condiments that are really high in salt (soy sauce, fish sauce, pickles and relish) or has high acidity (vinegar, mustard) or lots of sugar/salt combo (ketchup) last longer in the refrigerator--3-4 months.

Yes. I would say you are safe up to 4 hours after opening without refrigeration.

Depends what kind it is, usually most brands have vinegar and tomato paste which preserve it beyond any added preservatives, most time though it lasts longer in the fridge.

It will say on the bottle. refigerate after opening.

We put ours in the frige anyway.

yes.
although most contain vinegar which will slow bacteria/fungal growth, they also almost all contain sugar which encourages bacteria/fungul growth.
