Okay, check this out. We were only dating for a few months. We got into a "discussion" , and needless to say, he stopped calling. Here's the thing, I finally gave in and texted him to see what was the problem. Under the circumstances of that morning, i couldnt be on the phone. Needless to say, he text me back two hours later stating, " I THINK WE SHOULD STOP SEEING EACH OTHER". Is that acceptable??? Even without an explanation.

no, not acceptable ...he will use the line that he was answering your text or something of that nature...a few months is not that long, but it's long enough to have at least a little common decency.....cowards and soul less people will use all this new technology (text, etc) to their advantage in order not have to deal with heart breaking situations.
I hate to say it, but it sounds like he's met someone else and just too chicken to tell you face to face...he sound's like a classic jerk and player. you can do better..

Acceptable? Hell no! Sounds like a freaking coward to me. You are so better off without this jerk. Like hello. He so couldn't gather up the courage to tell you face to face? He couldn't even summon the courage to tell you via the phone. He did it with faceless text. I so wouldn't give this guy another though. Let him become someone elses problem.

this is no longer proper. What are you going to do, purely deliver her a text cloth that say, "this is over". i'm fairly effective she will desire to appreciate why you men are breaking up, and that i understand you would be unable to probable extra healthful that all and sundry in a text cloth. i think of the proper thank you to do this is to attend after 9 and speak to her and clarify your difficulty.

If it's not acceptable to you then it's not acceptable. He took the cowards way out. If he was any kind of gentleman he would break the news to you in person. Seems he owes you that much.....I'm sorry, but if this is an acceptable way to break up with someone to him, he isn't what you want, is he?

No. It's a weak, childish thing to do. He owes you some sort of explanation, and on the phone at least if not in person.

No, it is never acceptable to break up through a text message, he should come to your door and do it like a real man would! If he breaks up with you through a text message, it means he is afraid, and he isn't worthy of your love. nuff said

it's a bit weak, but you really have no choise in the matter, i'd move on find someone like me, i don't own a cell phone or even know how to text. If i broke up with you I'd have to do it face to face. hehehe

No! That's to impersonal and cold, and cruel. Under no circumstances should that happen! That's mean! I'd kill that guy if he did that to me!
