Its has to be made of wood not the cheap plastic ones with hula tails. I need one that is wood for a better popping sound on the water.

If you want a wood popper, you want Gibbs or Danny Plugs. Those are sold only at Bait and Tackle Shops. You might be able to find those two also on the internet. Without a doubt, the wood plugs are better than the plastic ones.

ok dont be offended but the plastic lures make more effective poppers than that of the wood ones because they can be weighted better and moulded better. I know its a shame that the wood ones have gone and i still do own some very old balsa ones but i wold try e bay if you want old ones or try rapala surface poppers they are just as good as the old wood ones or you can do what my grandfather used to do and make your own using balsa and a sharp chissel

You can get some nice vintage ones on ebay. They sell new ones as well.
