I have noticed alot of people writing stuff like that and I have joked around about it but why do they really think that? Besides the stuff written at the end of Matthew. Alot of people cite Revelation but I have never been taught that (Catholic). If you have bible verse then please state that and why you believe it to be true. Thanks.

For starters anybody who attempts to predict that is a loon and your best bet is to ignore them. Let me quote scripture... Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. And you probably already know that. But if you look at the signs (dont bother with mainstream media) the Tower of Babel has been rebuilt in Germany as the E.U. Parliament building. Israel has become a nation again (1948), the US has just made a deal with ALL the nations of the middle east to sell them weapons of mass destruction (huh?) yup, $48 billion worth and nations are lining up for war in the middle east with Ahmadinejab holding the fuse. Two war mongers in the whitehouse that are reaping billions of the current situation, a nation pacificied into ceding control of thier very day-to-day lives to an electronic government with a federal ID chip less than a year away, the Pope stating publicly that there is no religion EXCEPT Catholicism that is correct, a new arms race between the former USSR and the US brewing. The New World Order already in the works, One World Govt, One World Religion (The Olympic Games in Bejieng announced a Temple/Mosque/Church for all religions being built and the very resources that all civilization runs on being stripped to the walls (from fish to oil) a gross overpopulation of the planet, and at least here in America a general meanness that pervades everything, anti-christian legislation both here and in Europe. I mean all the signs are there. The same people responsible for 9/11 will cause another 'false-flag' terror attack here in the US to disrupt the upcoming elections and declare yet another war on an invisible enemy. And just recently Israel attacked Syria. What im looking for are two things; The Holy Spirit must be taken out of the way (the great falling away) for the evil man to come (the anti-christ) and someone to broker a peace deal in the Middle East. 1st Thessalonians 5:3 "For when they shall say, Peace and Safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."

The answer lies in the books of David, Ezekiel, the Gospels and Revelation. Israel became a country in 1948. This tells us that the end is near. Prophecy states that one generation after Israel becomes a country Jesus will come to earth. One generation is 100 years. Now that doesn't mean He will come back in 2048. The reason is that the rapture of all believers will happen at least seven years before the tribulation. If you are not in the rapture it will almost be impossible to be saved after it because the Holy Spirit will not be here any longer. Other things must happen like a one world religion and a one world currency. We are not there yet but this can happen soon with the advancing technology.

The Bible says that Jesus is comming back at a time when people don't expect Him to [Ma 24:44], when all of the world knows of the Gospel [Ma 24:14], and that the wars/rumors of wars/famin/various earthquakes/exc. are only "the beginning of sorrows. " [Ma 24:8]

Because of this, unlike most Christians, I don't think Jesus is comming back immediatly. I'm not saying that we shouldn't watch for Him; I'm saying that, if you become upsessed with His return, you may get sidetracked and disscouraged from His commands. Besides that, there's the whole 'false Christs' bit [Ma 24:5], which may descieve you if you stay looking for Him in the sky like the desciples from Acts 1:10-11.

Yes, I believe that the return of Jesus is imminent. The signs in Matt 24 tells us about the return of Jesus. The rapture of the church happens before Christ returns. If the signs we see today indicate that Jesus' second coming is near, then the rapture must be even nearer. Think of it in terms of Thanksgiving and Christmas. When you see Christmas decorations going up in store windows, you know that Christmas will be here soon. Well, before Christmas is Thanksgiving, so if you know Christmas is on the way, You can also expect Thanksgiving to get here first.

I encourage you to read, Matt 13, Matt 24, Matt 25, the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation.

Part of me expects to see more overt, anti-Christian persecution here in the US. But, based on my own experience, there seems to be enough covert persecution of true Christians here already -- that is, people who think of themselves as righteous are coming down hardest on the nicest, best Christians I know. People are being true to the masters they serve, without realizing it. And, people are not recognizing it before their eyes.

Still, I expect something to happen such as a certain political party becoming greatly empowered as they embrace New Age ideals with unprecedented intensity as more natural disasters hit; disasters which cannot be explained by "global warming" (such as the Dec 26 tsunami.) Then, the New Agers will accuse Christians of causing the disasters by "projecting their apocalyptic hopes and desires against mother Earth." Then, they will go after Christians out of fear, believing that only the elimination of Christian thought through imprisonment, drugs, and execution will save the planet. I think there will be supernatural confrontations between Christians and authorities, and by the time most people get their "public proof" that God is real, they will realize then that they have grown to hate Him so much that they don't care that he's real. That is what I expect to see before... you know what.

I think, I'm not sure that we may have been in Revelations since the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The question we are trying to figure out now is what chapter. I know somewhere in there speaks of great persecutions, and great and terrible natural disasters. I'm just not sure on the exact paragraph.

Well I'm Atheist so in my opinion, your "God" will never come back for he does not exist. Unfortunately we will continue to live on and on until we are hit by a meteor which destroys the whole earth, until the sun goes out and we die from coldness, or until we humans destroy the world for we are the earths cancer.

As a spiritualist, I do not believe Jesus is coming back in person, but rather His return will be in a spiritual awakening that will encompass the world.
