The answer would have to be in Kilowatt hours.

So 1985 watts would be1.985 kilowatts

Then 1.985 times 8 kilowatt hours.

Kilo=1000, therefore 1985 watts/1000 = 1.985 kilowatts, you then run this for 8hrs so 1.985*8= 15.88Kw/Hrs. My electric company charges 5¢ per Kw/Hrs so that would cost about 80¢.

A Kilowatt is 1000 Watts.
A Watt is a unit of power.
!985 Watts for 8 hours gives you 'Kilowatt/hours`.
A different unit, one of energy.
1985W. x 8 Hr.s = 15,880 Watt/ hours,
15880 Watt/Hours /1000 = 15.88 Kilowatt/Hours.

1 Kw = 1000 Watts so just divide by 1000.

1985 Watts = 1.985 Kw.

Time has no effect on this question.

KW conversion does not need a time base.

1000 w equals a KW
