If by "religion" you mean Christianity, then yes, the Bible is very clear that we should follow the laws of the land (Romans 13). So, if drugs are illegal, we shouldn't do them. Also, drunkenness is clearly forbidden, so by extension we could probably say that anything that clouds understanding and judgment should be taken very seriously, and probably avoided.

Which religion are you referring to? I'm sure there are people who do crack religiously.

If you are talking about those who believe in God, then to abuse any substance, whether it be alcohol, or even food, is wrong. Substances should never be used to get a feeling, or "high." Everything else should be done in moderation, even food. Food isn't bad, gluttony is. Wine isn't bad, drunkardness is. Drugs used for recreation are only to get a feeling, or a buzz, etc., which is wrong.

Abuse of any substance is bad. Not only from the eternal perspective, but for the here and now as well...

Wickedness was never happiness. I've never met or seen anyone who is grateful to be a drug addict/abuser... ...and I've been a full-time musician for over 30 years. I've seen plenty!!

More importantly, does it say that it is, in fact, whack?
