After all , It seems obvious to anyone with any intelligence that wrestling is a staged "sport" with predetermined "winners" . Both religion and WWF have these events that are just meant to emotionally arouse an audience who " Seems to believe or at least act like they believe" and spend billions of dollars . Yet even a child with a bit of logic and average intelligence can tell that these things are not real . Any child who figures out Santa Clause can't be real can figure it out . Yet these wrestling fans act very similar to the crowds in front of the TV Evangelists . Almost a religious fervor over something that even the WWF has to advertise as a entertainment show as opposed to a sporting event .
And why are these crowds so entertained by watching people pretend to hurt each other without regard to rules or fairness or morality ? Why are the Christians so into the stories about how the loving "god" wants to punish and hurt people for every little mistake and misunderstanding ?

It seems certain people need to believe in something . Maybe we all do . It seems that the belief in both wresting as a real sport and religion is a way of controlling or redirecting the energy of normal sexuality . I mean why would someone get so into these two very anti-normal sexual activities when they instead could be into hooking up with a gf/bf insted of being encouraged to use their energies to pray or encourage violence . WWF on TV seems like a pornography of violence to me . The religious services seem like a pornography of evil spirts to me .

BTW Ever notice how lots of churches have professional wrestling events once or twice a year in order to get funds for church flowers etc. YET they won't ever show a movie where a man and a woman have explicite , loving sex . The churches seem to have a thing for violence ( imaginary or not ) .Weren't the public executions and tortures during the inquisitions just a pornography of violence ? S & M purged of the sex act .

Thanks for pointing out the connection. That is a very astute insight and comparison. I couldn't agree with you more. It's really funny when you think about it. And in this corner we have Satan (crowd boos) and in this corner we have Jesus (yaaaaay, crowd goes wild). Okay, shake hands and come out fighting. Actually, I remember an episode of South Park that used your idea. Jesus got his butt kicked if I recall correctly.

You hit the nail right on the head! I am ashamed to say that for awhile, I like to watch "Raw'! My favorite wrestler was the Undertaker! The audience would go wild during those matches! I would sit there, and shake my head at their antics! It was all so fake, but very well done! But the good guys, were set up to fail, no matter how hard they tried to defeat the bad guys, Vince Mc Mahon, had it 'rigged' so the good guys lost!
Kind of like god! Damned if you do, and damned if you don't!
I for one, got tired of having everything 'rigged' against me so I would fail! So, I finally just quit!
Kudos! This is a great question! Doesn't matter if they get it or not! None so blind, as those who won't see!
I am glad I know the truth! And you guys, were 'my' good guys!
Thanks!

I was living down south for a while. I thought it so funny on Sunday mornings going to church and then getting home and watch wrestling all day, so there's got to be a connection there.

I truthfully think of they are the comparable ingredient. Writers, bookers, and everybody else are all area of the inventive team, which demands brand spanking new storylines, feuds, and reserving. the only transformations i will think of of is that writers are the single that makes scripts on an analogous time as the inventive team strives to think of of recent storylines that should be valuable for the organization. the two are related with one yet another in that experience through fact the two are practically area of the completed inventive team.

If anything has been staged it's this question complete with the WWF style rant. If we have to endure it please at least provide us with chicks. Chicks a term appropriate the tone of the question and WWF.

i see no connection to how the World Wildlife Foundation is similar to either pro wrestling or religion. For that matter, I don't see how Santa Claus is related to religion either.
