To say any religion is false is truly naive. No one knows any real answers and the difference between Mormons and say a Muslim or Christian is the time in which the religion began. There are stories in all of these faiths that are unbelievable, but the only one that gets looked down upon is the Mormons. In all honesty, the reason for their growth has to do with the missionary work, as well as the fact that most true believers are totally decent people. Now a bit conservative, yes. But this is moderate in the realm of religious fundamentalism.

Real or not has little bearing on whether a religion grows. Look at how the public decides on operating systems, the winner by far is Windows and it has taken many years to get to where other operating systems were; the moral being that the masses will follow the crowd regardless of the facts.

PROVE IT! I have yet to come across a single person that tells me my religion is false that can back it up!
I KNOW it to be true. There have been too many times in my life where the experiences have led me to know it's true, and LIGHT cannot be hidden.
THERE IS ALWAYS DEEP SHADOW WHERE THERE IS MUCH LIGHT!
I expect there will always be those who have to act like there is something false even when the light shines through lighting the way for all who choose to follow.
You believe as you will and grant us the same respect. I don't go around calling other religions false - I only invite them to bring what good they have and ADD to it with what we have.

I could paste a long-winded and intellectual reply as why I believe you're wrong, but I'll settle in responding in my own words.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly God's kingdom on earth and will remain so until the Second Coming--perhaps longer because of the needed temple work in the Millenium. No amount of bad-mouthing and persecution will diminish or shut this great kingdom because we are stronger than Satan's influence. And Satan is the reason that we in the LDS Church must stand up against such tauntings, ridicule, mockery, and downright lies made against the Church.

You have fallen into the same trap as millions of others by castigating the very Church belonging to Jesus Christ on this earth. How does that make you feel? Willing to join with others in spreading lies and myths about the LDS Church has placed you and others in that group that Satan loves. Do you really enjoy being led by the nosehairs by the devil? You show it by posting such a question that mimics others in your category.

I suppose that you must, because rantings against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will not end until the return of our Lord. Then you will have to bow the knee and profess that He is the Lord of all. Enjoy your fault-finding for now; later you will come to know the truth.

Your premise of the religion being false, and your statement that it is one of the fastest growing religions in america, are actually contradictory statements. The scriptures say ye shall know them by their works. The works of the lds church are such that people who are pure in heart are attracted to them.
Sorry man, but the church is true

At one time I would have agreed with you but like many others I opened my mind to the possiblity that it might be true and started studying the church, they are more biblical then any other Christian sect. The bible implies that False Prophets will arise in the last days. If there is false prophets then there must needs be true prophets also to counter the false ones. The LDS church offers what no other church can offer!

How do you know it is false? Have you actually met with an LDS missionary or member or read the Book of Mormon? I have done all three, and I have received a strong witness that it is true. However, the rate it which the LDS church is growing is not evidence of its truth.

All religions are "false"! Why single out Mormonism? It's as incredible as all the rest.

How long can rolling waters remain impure? What power shall stay the heavens? As well might man stretch forth his puny arm to stop the Missouri river in its decreed course, or to turn it up stream, as to hinder the Almighty from pouring down knowledge from heaven upon the heads of the Latter-day Saints.

I don't subscribe to the whole mormon thing either. But I don't think there is a person alive who can really determine whether or not a religion is false.
