What are you asking help on?
Not all people who are diagnosed with ADHD, have ADHD. Or the symptoms of hyperactivity can also be caused by environmental causes such as toxin exposure, another underlying health problem besides a psychoactive disorder, or nutritional allergy.
There are means of psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, and simple therapy that can be used without drugging that can improve a child. Most of the drugs for ADHD does nothing to help or cure ADHD but merely suppresses its symptoms without anything towards its actual cause. It either turns a child into a zombie drone, or like a wired toy.

My son was diagnosed with eh scoring chart from us and the school. Our Dr. sad it was the closest points between the 2 he had ever seen. We did try different things at school. We did a timer for 20 min, and a reward if he was on task for those 20 min. I couldn't see him in middle school or high school, getting a sticker when his timer went off. We did try different diet and exercise also. We did eventually put him on meds. If you do do the meds start out with a small dose and work your way up. when you can really tell the difference go back down a dose. If that helps stay there. That way you will be helping him, but not turning him into a zombie.

What did you want help with?
If he has ADHD there is a chance he will out grow it but more than likely it will be something he deals with his whole life. I am nearly twenty four years old and still battle with and take pills on days when I work, but go off of them for the summer.
You can seek counseling to help aid with the pills, if the pills are not working at all consult your doctor because there are several different pill options available now, in many different formulas. Ex: Adderall, Concerta, Statera...different dosages and some are time released.
good luck! ADHD doesn't have to be so bad!

soooo what's your question. My son's have ADHD, and if you are ever the parent of a child of ADHD, you know it. My son's take the medicine because if they don't they will wear themselves out and they are too tired and still cannot calm down enough or hold still long enough to relax. Imagine being exhausted and not able to shut it off. They would be in tears from the frustrations of constantly moving and constantly in trouble.

Well, first, a 3 year old is way to young to be diagnosed with ADHD. that is ridiculous!
Second, I suggest you find a good Dr that does not use drugs to treat ADHD. they are out there, you just have to look! ADHD is real but many kids that are diagnosed do not really have it. The ones that do have it need help, but not drugs. Good luck!

how can people say that add/adhd does not exist!.....our diets are full of human made chemical combinations and unnaturally processed sugars etc.....this is not natural or normal....you are right in that it is diagnosed so that pharmaceudical companies can profit like maddness, but i suggest changing your child's diet and the stimulation in his environment to help him.....look up the fiengold diet.....my son could not cope with his exsessive activity...i could...i did not put him down for it...i homeschool him and he is not even around people that do not appriciate his activity levels, but this is not about activity levels, this is about complete lack of self control with harmful outbursts that he knows is going on and cannot control and it results in depression and suicidal tendancies.....my son has been suicidal since he was six because of his inability to control himself.....this is add/adhd.....it does exist and people need not misinform people out of an uneducated opinion.....i do not support our system or pharmaceudical companies, but, i do know that my son is not just hyper......i only told my story due to the ammount of aggreance over add/adhd not existing......there are natural and inclusive ways of handling it, which help prevent the disasterous outcome, but do not eliminate it.....changing diet takes the edge off so that your child will not kill himself later

What is he eating. Have you thought about trying the Feingold Diet? I have heard that a lot of kids...even those with Autism, benefit from this diet. ADHD medications can cause damage to the child's body. My cousin ended up having to have a liver transplant at a young age...I believe by age 10, because the Ritalin damaged his kidneys.
And BTW: ADHD and ADD are REAL problems. It is just that teachers that don't know how to get kids to listen automatically assume that the kid has ADHD. My other cousin suffered from it for years before being diagnosed.

I heard that AdHd left untreated can
lead to Bipolar disorder later in life.
I recommend , using other types of treat
ment for his AdHd , Like
Tofranil , very safe but older agent less harmful
Pamelor , very safe but older agent less harmful
Wellubritin , very safe less harmful
Catapress, Very good for AdHd
they usually start kids on low doseage
Right now would not be a bad idea to
start your son on a medicine called
Abilify and Lamictal ..These drugs are
for Bipolar ..But they would slow your
son down .. I wish you good luck!
