When all the lights were on and my car was in the driveway.He came in the back door,I woke up to him peeking around the corner at me. He didn't take anything. I'm freaked out!

I boarded up my back door completely,and installed an alarm,and I'm getting a dog. I just can't shake how strange,it seemed. He flew back around the corner when I woke up ,but He didn't leave until I grabbed the phone and called the cops(Thank God I fell asleep with the phone)

Maybe he didn't think that some one was really home or he may have thought that he could break in with out being caught by the people at home.
In this world there is no tell why people do what they do, it's just gotten to be so horrible.
Pick your self up some portable alarms that can be put on your doors and even your windows, these will alert you if any of your doors or windows are disturbed during the night. Also you may want to alert the police in your area if you have not already done so, ask them if they can drive by every once in a while to help settle you down with what has happened to you.

yeah, i would definitely be freaked out. you never know what he was up to. he could be a stalker, or he could have been trying to steal from you but saw that you were home. regardless you need to call the police if you haven't already. if you live alone, i would have someone stay with you until you feel safe again. talk to the police and see if there have been any break ins in your neighborhood recently, and what you should do for safety. i wouldn't stay there alone for the time being. make sure all your locks are good, and all your windows are secured too. I would get a dog too. I watched this court tv episode once that said that if you have a dog, you are a lot less likely to have your house broken into. but definitely start with the cops. good luck!

Get a big dog that isn't social with strangers. Were your doors locked? Doberman, Pitbull, Wrotwieler, or even a German Shepherd they can be mean if someone does something wrong like break into your house.

Maybe he wanted to see you. Some "peepers" like to get a bit closer to the action and there is an added thrill if the lights are on. It's really creepy and I hope you reported it, but it DOES happen.

If he wasn't there to rob you, then he's either a stalker, peeper, or rapist. I trust you called the cops.
Now you know why I have 2 Rotties and a LOT of loaded guns!

Apparently he's a thief but not a rapist or worse. You were very, very fortunate. Please remember to lock up before going to sleep. You might also want to install additional security on your doors. I'm glad he was spooked and you weren't hurt.

ha sorry to hear. i seena thing on tv were this guy was breaking into people houses and watching them sleep until they woke up.when they did he ran.I dono where u live though . maybe its him. u should get an alarm system
