My friend will be taking my maternity pictures for me, and she has a 35 mm camera. I just have to provide the film. She told me to get 400 speed for color...and she said black and white will be a different cost....About how much will I be spending on the color film? The cheapest one will do...she told me just make sure it's for a 35 mm camera. I'm not tryna pay an arm and a leg. Thnx

Shoot everything in color. You can change it later, but you can't make b&w into color very easily :) Kodak 400UC is usually pretty common at most retail outlets and does a nice job. About $12 for a 3 roll pack.

If its important enough to photograph then use quality film. Kodak Portra ISO 400 NC (Natural Color) and Ilford ISO 400 XP2 Super for your black and white. You can then have the color and black and white processed together - just be sure to tell the lab the Ilford is supposed to be black and white.

wal mart has the 4 pack of film for like $10.00. and for inside pics the 800 speed is better.

Cheaper isn't always better keep that in mind. I wouldn't buy anything but fuji if I was buying.
