Amino acids and more years than most people can honestly comprehend.

NOTE: I took the 'few words' part of the question literally. I like ɹɐǝɟsuɐs's longer answer below.

----
And as far as evolution is concerned, the evidence in it's favor is that we can test and reproduce the fundamentals of the process. We have a long fossil record that includes many many transitional fossils. Natural selection can be demonstrated and reproduced. And of course we have all of the medical and DNA evidence for the changes that have occurred in animals including ourselves. And with a great deal of evidence, this being only a small part of it, you come to a compelling theory. Is the theory an absolute, no. Do any scientists claim it's an absolute, no. Do any scientists say that the theory is complete as it is, definitely no.

But in spite of the occasional hole in the theory here is no evidence of anything else that one can even use for an alternate theory. So until there is even a single piece of evidence to support something else evolution is left as the undisputed most likely explanation for where life came from.

Before anyone leaps in with with what they believe to be an alternate theory please look up the word. It does not mean an unsupported notion or guess.

Current theories lean in favor of self replicating ribozymes, but a definite answer hasn't been found yet.

Not sure what the latest is on geothermal vents either. You would probably also find the term emergent properties helpful for a discussion of the beginning of life.

You want explained in a few words what it takes people years to study? Would really make sense only if you prove to me first that you have the knowledge to understand and critically evaluate the few words.

Bloody hell... how many times do you have to be told that evolution has NOTHING to do with the beginning of life? Huh? Whats it going to take for that to pound into your small brain?

You've heard it constantly. Did you just come back here to troll by asking this question?

I know how many times you've said it because I've been here when you've said it.

Knock it off.

When you can learn the difference between evolution and abiogenesis, then you come back and we'll have a real chance to talk.

Until that time, you're doing nothing but trolling. And trolling? Its childish.

Btw, if you really wanted an answer, you'd go to the science section and ask this question. But I don't think you really do want an answer, do you? You just want to drive us all nuts.

No.

There's no one who knows how life came into existence.

The scientists (of which I am NOT one) haven't yet figured that out.

There are hypotheses and ideas, but no one knows.

Suppose it were known, but it would take more than a few words. You'd still reject it, anyway, wouldn't you?

Is it that something is true only if it can be explained in a few words?

The very word "explain" often suggest more than a few words.

But then, you aren't interested in being reasonable, are you?

Abiogenesis doesn't relate to Evolution.

Here is what we know. Amino Acids can be formed naturally by applying electricity to gasses known to exist during the early stages of earth's development.

Amino Acids are the building blocks of life. To my knowledge, we have not been able to duplicate the initial spark of life that organized the amino acids into an organism that procreated, but that is most likely due to the amount of time and failed attempts it took for the real thing to take place.

If the earth was sitting dormant and lifeless for millions of years before abiogenesis took place, what makes us think we can duplicate it in a couple of years? It took us thousands of years of observation to figure out the world was not flat.

Luckily we have technology to assist us in discovery today and our education is increasing by leaps and bounds. At least scientists have the where with all to state that they don't know, as apposed to religions who claim to know for sure despite the complete lack of evidence for the God they worship.

Unfortunately that progress, is starting to leave some people behind, because they are stuck with an ego that is tied to the existence of a God. "God has to exist, because he made me specifically, uniquely and with a purpose in life, and if he doesn't exist, I lose all sense of who I am and all meaning."

The origin of life is still a mystery, but it won't be forever. Just as the prior "mysteries" of how the sun rose in the sky, how plants grow, and lightning works have been answered by science, so shall the "mystery of life" be eventually figured out.

BTW, if you're really interested, perform searches for abiogenesis, rna world, artificial life, and so forth. You'll see that the race is on to understand the origin of life.

After abiogegesis, evolution transformed each species into another gradually. That's why there are 10 or 20 fossils in transition for every fossil fully formed. Only trouble is - we haven't found all those transitional fossils. Now, isn't that strange! Hmmmm

You just blew your last "I know what evolution is"comment all to hell.Evolution doesn't address the beginning of life. That field is "Abiogenesis"Funny,I thought someone who proclaimed "I know what evolution is"would know that very basic fact. There are many theories as to how the first life form began,it's not that big a deal,we observe amino acids in interstellar clouds,so the building blocks are there.Evolution takes off from there, explaining the vast diversity of species on the planet. It is the ONLY theory that explains it,without going into the genetic or fossil evidence,it is apparent visually. One can simply look at a Polar bear, black bear, brown bear, and tell they are related. One can look at a chimp. We dress them up,they ride bikes, they even smoke already, what is so hard to grasp that we are related? There has never been any evidence, none, ever, presented that REFUTES evolution. It's how we got here.It has been observed, even successfully predicted and observed. If you want to believe in a god, brother, evolution is how he did it.

Evolution has nothing to do with how life came into existence.

Evolution is defined as the fact that allele frequencies in biological populations change over time.

The study of the origin of life falls under abiogenesis which is a totally different branch of study.

prebiotic synthesis of amino acids (check Millers experiments), development of RNA and lipid proteins to form cell walls. Probably earlier steps we are missing, but the inability to piece together all the details of a puzzle that happened over 3 billion years ago has nothing to do with the validity of evolution.
