Can anyone please help me answer this question? I've tried searching on Google,Ask and others but i cannot come up with an answer. The question is:

How are cakes made on a large-scale in a factory?

simply instead of the ingrediants for 1 cake they mix for 100/200 cakes .put in cake tins goes through oven on a conveyor belt.then start mixing again.hope this simple explanation helps.

Not really sure what sort of detail you are looking for here.
They have big machines that do most of the work an then there are people who do the little jobs after like check them and box them up and stuff.
I worked in a cake factory (for a day) when i was a student. It was the worst, most miserable day of my life. I stood for 8 hours putting cherries on bakewell tarts that were skimming along on a conveyor belt. It was hell.

I worked in a cake factory too when I was a student.

The ingredients are mixed together in one machine, then put into tins or tin foils and baked in the oven. Any toppins are put on in another machine, then if there are cherries on top, they are put on by hand. People put them in boxes, and that is the end.

All of these machines are connected by conveyer belts !

Everything from mixers to cake pans are done on a commercial size scale.

go to science channel look at HOW ITS MADE look up bakeries.
