Hi thanks for reading this. I'm having toubly with Sony Vegas 8.0. I have clips of stuff and i know how to import them on to it but how do I Cut the clip so it's in seperate clips...(different media files) (btw these are video files) I have NO IDEA! It stresses me out haha! If you know w place that i can look at that shows me how to make videos on Sony or how to work it and Blahh PLEASE let me know. If you know the answer to my main question please let me know that too haha! Thanks guys!

you can do this on the time line. set the cursor at the cut point, go to edit tab and select "divide clip" then go to the outpoint and divide again. drag or "cut" the unwanted portions off the time line. This process is non-destructing to the original capture. If you need to re-trim, bring another copy up from the clip bin.
