that this is a pointless forum for ranting bitterness? I very rarely see any real questions wanting to actually learn something.

I don't mind the rants - if it looks like a rant, let it be a rant, and ignore it..
What really gets on my nerves is the pseudo-questions that sound interesting enough - and then you find out the asker was some fundie who already "knew" the Truth⢠and had no actual interest in intelligent discourse whatsoever.
Oh, and the fact that the interesting questions usually get bogged down in fundie answers. I recall the one a while back where someone asked when in evolution soul entered the picture. Deep stuff when you actually think about it, which not one "enlightened" user here apparently cared to truck with.

yoohoo, I actually disagree. This forum isn't pointless. Just today I have been busy with e mails with those I have become acquainted with on this forum; people who love the Lord and are seeking to grow closer to Him and learning how to help others. There are those on my contact list that have become my prayer partners about others on this forum, and personal issues. That's not pointless to me. I too become irritated at times at the mocking, but then remember life isn't about me, but the Kingdom of God.

Yes, I agree. There is a lot of ranting here, me included. But if you look very hard, there are some very worthwhile questions.

The questions are rare but they do come up. More importantly, people ask completely stupid questions but get serious answers that point out the stupidity of the question and/or the questioner. I think this is valuable.

Yeah this is true.
This isn't like a forum, since you can easily thumbs down someone's response to hide it, and also since you can't easily reply specifically to someone else's response.

Sadly you are very right. I try to pick questions to answer that seem sincere, and I try to give honest and accurate answers.
