As a younger man, I was enthralled with Ninjitsu primarily because it was constantly being used in the movies. As I grew older it became Kung-Fu, due to the myriad of styles within the art itself.

I've studied Shotokan, Tai Chi Chuan, Aikido and currently Kempo. I really liked Aikido, because it was very fluid in it's motions. A practitioner doesn't have to expend a great deal of energy to perform many of it's moves. As a current Kempo student, I'm learning Kempo & Kung-Fu & Jujitusu & Karate & Kickboxing. This style allows for a great range of flexibility in my style, I can defend using any 1 of the above styles and attack with a totally different 1.

Kung fu, I like it because its far more than just an art, the philosophy is what makes a great overall package.

Also, i think physical conditioning makes you very strong, big muscles are good too, but having a tough enough body to smash things like tiles is cool : ) it give much power to your form.

Learning weapons is also fun, even though i dont really like them. wierd hey? iron rings are great too.

I would say south kung fu. the Shalin style. A close second is jujitsu the ninja style.
I like those styles because they teach you things to use the person you are fighting against them. They are soft styles that can defend yourself and can do as much damage as needed to get you away to safety.
