A miniature? Need to know breed, or if you are just asking aoubt a dog that is small, and breed doesn't matter. Need to know if you are ready to be a responsible home, what you are expecting of the dog, where it will live....shoot! I have a 2 page questionnaire that ahs to be completed before you even get to come visit when I am looking to place one. We really need more details.

please don't go to a petstore! they are from puppymills and besides the diseases and psychological issues they have, you'd be supporting an industry that keeps dogs in small cages with little or no exercise their whole life spent just having one litter after the other then killed at age 5 either by a vets euthanasia but mostly by letting them starve to death or be beaten to death.
My coworker got some kind of terrier from a petstore and at only age 6 he developed kidney disease and died shortly after. This is usually the sad case.

Everyone says to adopt, but sometimes that is not always the best way to go. Miniature dogs are super cute, and fun to have. It is hard to tell you who is selling them without knowing what area you are looking in. I would look at www.breeders.net, or try your local newspapers. Good luck!
P.S. I love Yorkies and Miniature Poodles. Sooooo cute!

Go to the shelter and get one - Lots of cute little dogs there are just waiting for a loving home to call their own.

Go to a shelter and adopt please. I sure wish everyone on here knew that, it's common sense. For every dog someone buys because they want to buy a new accessory a' la Paris Hilton, another animal is put to sleep in a shelter.

I have a male pekingese puppy if you are interested! They usually weigh no more than 14lbs full grown.
