Because the Christian Crusaders did a good job of killing of and threatening those that believed in other gods!

Maybe because they have enough difficulty believing in modern gods without having to bother about Ancient Greek ones.
"Any god is only as powerful as the number of people who currently believe in him/her/it". By this definition, Zeus is now a very small god indeed.

I believe there's something HUGE out there that I am a part of. When people talk about 'God' they refer to 'Him' as something separate from themselves; something external/ outside themselves. Therefore, I think anything/anyone who thinks they are an 'individual' or deems themselves as separate from 'God' has a great big ego, and is not at the highest point of enlightenment and so I am not willing to judge them. They may or may not exist, but I am only interested in the force which is in all of us.

The christian god believes in zeus? Thats what you just said..
Do you mean, how can the christian god be real and not zeus..? Well maybe zeus is the real god, who knows... god isn't specific anyways, could just be the greek rendition of the same basic thing.

Zeus, and for that matter most gods, was a corruption of the stories told by Adam, Ham, and various others after God told mankind what to expect. Basically a result of a long term game of Telephone.

Many people do -- not as many as used to believe, granted.
Very few religions have entirely died out -- and I personally know a few people who still believe in the Roman pantheon.
Other than that -- trying to ask why one religious believe exists by pointing to a different religious belief -- it's like trying to ask why one fruit tastes good on a salad by mentioning that a different fruit grows on trees -- it will never answer the question.

the myths in the Bible are just as outrageous as the greek and roman myths they were ripped from.
Really the story of sampson is the same basic story of achilles. both great warriors with one tragic weakness, both were undone by their arrogance and vanity, both were betrayed by women, only the names and minor details were changed
I persoanlly belive Jesus lived but he was a good man and a philosopher not a deity.
but actually there are no historical records that he lived. there are over 30 noted historians who lived in the areas and times that Jesus was preforming the miracles. You would think that at least one would have written about someone doing what was claimed of Jesus

I think you should study about Zeus, and then study about God in the 3 major religions.

WEll,
1) People tend to believe in the God who sent His Son.
2) What did Zeus promise, and what's your source.
3) God's Spirit draws people to know Him, to the will of the Father through the Son.
So what did Zeus do to promise that while we are yet sinner's salvation ( soterion in the Greek ) is promised to those who trust Him. What are we supposed to trust Zeus for, and why was it God's Spirit who was sent to me instead of the spirit of Zeus. What has Zeus ever done for me?
