No.
Why? Several reasons…
1) I’m not convinced by the science. CO2 *is* a greenhouse gas, and it *is* increasing in the atmosphere, so there *will* be some warming, but it’s an extremely complicated effect and no one is sure how much the atmosphere will warm as a result of a given rise in CO2. A *lot* more research still needs to be done. Thus it is too early to take action.
2) There is too much dodgy stuff regarding global warming. There is an awful lot of propaganda, misinformation and downright lies going on (and denial of this, of course). If global warming is clear and unequivocal, why all the underhand tricks? That usually means there’s something fishy about it. Thus I’m extremely suspicious.
3) Even if global warming does happen, I doubt very much that the effects will be anything like as bad as we’re being lead to believe. For example, Al Gore’s infamous 20 feet of sea-level rise won’t happen for *at least* 800 years – if it happens at all.
4) If the effects will not be that bad, then the cost of the proposed measures to combat it will likely be worse than the effects. In other words, the cure may be worse than the disease.
5) Global warming is something that *may* be a problem *sometime* in the *future*. We have other problems that are *real* and are happening *right now*. We should concentrate on these real issues, rather than possible future ones.

no, becuase my mom and I were talking about this, and she said that like 15 years ago, they said about global cooling, and that never happened. Now they say about global warming? yeah right. And on a talk show that my mom listens to, they had a scientist on as a guest, and the scientist said that they are finding greens, and places where vinyards were at a long time ago. This is in Greenland, or Iceland. So the scientists are focusing on Greenland, but down in Antarctica, It is getting very cold, and there are more and more glaciers forming. The world does go through a time of cooling and warming, but definatly not to the extinct that the scientists are saying. We believe that all of the ice caps and glaciers and all of the coldness in Greenland and everywhere else is because of the Flood of Noah's Ark. It thew of the whole world. If you know what I mean. It's hard to believe, but I believe it, and it really did happen that way. In my appinion.

Yes! Considering the United States puts 25% of the polutants in the air that cause global warming. It bothers me very much that we have turned into a country that doesn't care. There are so many things that are more pressing but we have to be more responsible with what is ours to use not to have and when we are gone our children and grandchildren will pay the price.

yes.. definetly we should be worried about global warming because the average carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere of the earth is aproximately around 350 p.p.m and if the level reaches 500 p.p.m then the earth will not be able to sustain its self. As a result the ice caps of antartica , greenland and various snow covered ranges around the world will melt causing the earth to flood.
we might think this is just school work and non-scemce but the result is prevailing quickly. many islands of the north atalntic ocean have just disappeared from the face of the earth due to the rising sea level.
we must act now or we will suffer a lot later

No. The problem is very minor. Sea levels may rise a foot or two in 100 years. That is just no big deal. All the ice caps will not melt before the world runs out of coal and oil. Coal runs out in 500 years and oil runs out in 100 years. After that, we will not be putting any more CO2 into the air.

Global warming is the new liberal hype to create a problem impacting all arease of our economy. The flucuations in temperature have been happening on our planet since time began. Liberals and idiots like Al Gore want to create panic about this issue but they don't put any restrictions on themselves and agree that India and China should be exempt from any restrictions.

I am not worried a bit. Those of us in the north will use less energy in winter. We will be able to grow more food for the country. There will be more fresh water in the world. The doomsday scenarios put forth by the chicken little's are just silly manure.
