God created man flesh and blood.
God calls man to a higher purpose than this above the animals God gave man an eternal spirit.

When humans were created, we were given fleshly bodies, and as flesh, we are subject to the natural instincts and desires of all other animals.
But, God also gave us a soul, and brainpower. The soul becomes a compass of sorts to help us decide what is good and what is bad, and the brainpower give us the ability to find ways to accomplish our goals and desires.
God also gave us free will to do as we please.
But, being no dummy, God knew that there was a danger to this free will thing, and that we could become so enamored with fleshly pleasures that we could do some serious damage to ourselves and others if we got carried away. He gave us guidelines to live by so we could reap maximum blessings with minimum fuss.
And, our very own current-day scientists and psychologists are confirming that the principles of life, as documented in the Bible thousands of years ago, are indeed correct.
Who is going to deny that the two parent home, with one male and one female parent in a committed relationship is the best possible structure for a family? Nobody says that other structures have no merit, but these alternative structures are not the best.
Sex is one of the tools that cements a committed relationship. With humans, sex is much more than the method of procreation. Very few animals have sex as a form of recreation. Humans, however, have a very strong drive. That is why it was documented in the guidelines as a thing to do only within the scope of a covenant marriage. By doing so, this ensures the survival of the family unit throughout the entire 20-plus-year childhood of any offspring.
We are free to do whatever we please, even if in disobedience to the guidelines. But, we are responsible for our behavior, too. If you want to have "fun" outside of the boundaries set before you, that is your choice. But then, you must also be ready to accept the consequences of your behavior, whether in this life or in the phase yet to come.

Religion claims to know alot about what God wants, but then again this is a common theme in all of them, so it makes you wonder....
I think we are attracted to alot of people so that we can discover what is right for us, and what doesn't work... like trial and error, because experience is a good teacher.... I don't know how significant sex is in the search for a 'perfect match', but i know that the before mentioned reason is why we don't have a single soulmate, or one man made for just one woman.
Humans are humans right, so what would happen if the other half god prepared for you faltered (eg. cheated on you, heaven forbid) does that mean there is no one else in the world for you? I doubt... see what i mean?

God gave us a mind of our own. He made it clear that sex out of wedlock was not moral. People in Bible days did it of course, but He didn't condone it. So, we have the choice to either keep our sex drive in check & obey Him, or just disregard His will & go ahead & do what gives us pleasure for the moment, but hurts in the end. Sex, within marriage , is looked on by God as a Holy institution, and it must be with one person(one spouse) of the opposite sex. Anything but that is disobedience .

All animals have a strong sex drive . That's another result of evolution . Any specie that lacked the sex drive didn't have enough births to compete with the number of deaths due to many factors in primitive times . Those species became extinct .
All surviving species , including humans have developed this drive . It is no longer needed in humans , because we have found ways of protecting ourselves from many of the dangers that the earliest humans did not have .

He made the sex drive to assure the procreation of the species. Us. One man for one woman ? No, it is up to you to decide on who to marry . He is not going to do that for you. That is a free will choice He will not interfere with. And sex is for making babies. But it is also to be used as an expression of love. Kinda like a gift that you give to the one you love. To be enjoyed by both partners. Above all it is to be natural sex only. If you do that you have won a major battle and God will bless you for it. This should be part of your decision on who to marry. If the guy demands unnatural sex as a prerequisite to marriage , dump his butt.

I guess I really shouldn't be Surprised when Women ask this Q. as Most have Not been "Equally Yoked" with their "Right Man". The ignorance always "Assumes" that Sex was just for "Proliferation of the Species" which would make Women "Sex Slaves", Not "Equal" which is Not the Case!!! God Did Make 1 Woman for 1 Man! He also Made Woman Barren Until they Both Sinned!!! Think about it??? They were in PARADISE!!! no need to Work, it was all provided for them by God!!! So as long as they were in the Garden, they didn't Need to have kids to be Successful Farmers!!! They had Perfect Sex, after all, E. was "Custom Made" for and From A. as his "Mate"!!! God also made Eves' "Desire" Only for Adam, BUT, E. was "Influanced" by Satan to Utilize her "Free Will" to chose Sin, over the "Will of God" for her Life, which brought about "Child Bearing" and Every Other Problem we have Today, including Rampant Illicit Sexual Practices!!! This question demonstrates the fact that most religious commandments are actually man-made rules that were created in an attempt to impose some form of social order. Apparently, in early times, some leaders got in the habit of taking advantage of the superstitious nature of their followers and started ascribing the rules they made up to "gods".
When a group of humans has a very low level of population in an area, so there is little competition for resources, it is easier to take care of children. So, in this state, which appears to have been a fairly natural state for humans for quite a large part of our past, having sexual urges that result in fairly random, uncontrolled couplings works out OK.
However, when the human population grows denser and there is greater competition for resources, for children to survive, it helps if there is a more structured and permanent relationship. So, as populations increased, the leaders started making up these "divine" rules that ran counter to our basic instincts. It was basically a strategy for survival via deception, superstition, and fear. This was the origin of most human religions.
Now, in the present, since humanity has invented contraception, these rules make less sense than they did back in the days when they were made up. In fact, if humanity manages to ever perfect contraception and eliminate sexually transmitted diseases, then these ancient rules will become completely useless and even more detrimental to society.
So, in answer to your question, there was no god involved in the creation of these rules. These are ancient lies that were an attempt to control societies where human instincts had begun to run counter to the actions necessary for survival. As we gain better control of the societal problems associated with sex, these rules will become completely obsolete. If people continue to follow those rules, it will be largely due to the fact that those people are just as subject to fear, deception, and superstition as their ancient ancestors were.

Sex is fun and feels very good. Sex needs to be practiced safely. A long term relationship is best and usually safer as long as it does not result in babies but everyone has there own way.

God didn't make us attracted to so many different people. We do that ourselves. When you let your lust overtake you, that's what happens.
"why not just make one woman for one man etc?"
That's what it is, there is only one person for someone, and anything else is cheating, even if you don't know that person yet.

Its called free will, Everyone is not as you have described to some it is just sex and to others its a act of love. You do what you want unless you are forced like some have been.
So we choose to have it or not its our choice.
