Many people suffer bouts of depression off and on throughout their entire lives. You need to find out more about depression and learn how you can deal with it. Talk to your doctor, maybe get a referral to a mental health practictioner. Research things you can do naturally (diet, exercise, more sunshine, etc). There is treatment, but like many illnesses, it is something you have to pay attention to.

First of all I think it's really important that you know the signs. I applaud you for being that self-aware.

It is common in some people to relapse. I have had issues with depression all my life.

It's important to stay on top of it. Eat well, sleep well, and exercise. Those three things are so important when you struggle with depression.

Also, make a visit to your doctor. If you go the medication route, you may need something new to help you through this round.

Depression is a health issue, and you just need to do what it takes to keep your mind healthy.

Take care!

clinical depression never goes away hon, it is a life long battle, with good times and not so good times. You need to consult a psychiatrist to see if you have clinical depression or situational depression, the former requires lifetime treatment the latter can be handled with a visit or two to a therapist, but it takes a professional to diagnose you.

yes if you have had deoression once, its likley to happen again but at least you can recognise the symptoms now and go see the doctor . you need to get on anti depressants now before you end up in the place where you was before.

I have suffered it for years 12 to be exact & i don't take meds.. i found that working & keeping my self bzy helps not to think about but it hits me sometimes & the thing i do to not feel that way is look at the ones who love me (my kids) & think how they would feel if i wasn't there i pull myself together & stay strong for them & for my self... try and keep (beezy)..
the more you think about it the more it will sink in & in my case i don't take meds cuz i'm afraid to depend on them & not myself.. holding strong now
You have the power to overcome it you HAVE to beleive in yourself.. you'll make ..
if not seek a profssional...

Depression is treatable not cureable. You have always had it just that is was more or less in remission so to speak. Go see your doc and get treatment for it if it is bothering you again.
