i waited through four years of highschool until i finally went out with this girl that i had had my eye on. When we were finally going out, she said that girls didnt want to date me because i wasnt an asshole, and even she was weird about dating me because i wasnt an asshole. When will girls stop being confusing?

I think girls will always be confusing about something but not all girls like assholes. I am engaged to a super sweet guy who is NEVER an asshole.

Girls like that are not what you should be after. If you truly are a nice guy you'll find a great girl someday. Girls with that mentality are shallow, want drama, and wont appreciate you properly. The drama they want isnt real life, focus on real things and you'll meet a girl who does the same. Trust me, it will be much more fufilling. I am a nice mellow girl, or I was, and was the same story, I would date a guy and he would be decietful or cheat because I didnt create enough drama. My current boyfriend who I have been with for two years now is a nice guy, he dated a crazy all through high school, we surf and travel and try to do cool stuff and its so much better than what I wasted my time with before.

She is wrong. You are just looking in the wrong direction for a girlfriend. Turn around and look the other way. I'm sure you will see many girls who like you.
Girls probably didn't want to go out with you because they knew they would always take second place to this girl that obviously doesn't know a good thing when she sees it. And don't let her tell you what other girls think. She hasn't go a clue. No one can tell you what another person is thinking.

All girls aren't like that you know, sometimes girls just miss out on something/someone good, when they get older they'll look back and think to themselves, "why did i just pass such a gentle man up"? sometimes you got to go way beyond your boundaries to find true love or someone who actually appreciates your kindness. Girls of today need to wake up and smell the coffee, cuz if an asshole is all they are looking for, then they got another think comming.

You are asking the wrong girl. Girls like guys that are not assholes, they just don't like guys who aren't sure of themselves, don't confuse nice with any other thing you can be nice. This girls is not interested in you and she's just making any ignorant excuse she can use. Find the girl that does like you don't focus on negative focus on your life go out meet other girls have some fun. ENJOY

This is a mystery why women go for the man who is no good and treats them like dirt. The nice guy
they treat like dirt, and have their fun with the
jerk. Athletes don't count They only look like nice guys.
When you start to ignore them they get curious.
But they want a guy who takes care of himself.
Knows what clothes to buy. Drives a decent car.
Dress is important. Pay more, buy the best and it lasts much longer, looks better and feels better on you. It's also cheaper. Two nice shirts will outlast
15 cheap ones and make you look better too. Make sure your colors match! The clerk will help you. Don't be shy. Get rid of the pinki stripes, you look like a patio set. No pointy black shoes and no pair of tennis shoes bought at payless. Get the right kind of shoes. Get decvent socks and underwear! Keep another pair to scuff around in. And a nice pair for going out, kakhis, a nice pull over shirt, chronograph watch. No more haircuts at the bargain basement.
A nice, short haircut done well will last longer, look better, and you won't have to be caring for it all the time. Get a good razor. Decide if you want a mustache or not, but no in betweens. No condoms in the wallet. ( a wallet should be fold over, leather and no chains attached). Learn how to use the condom and dont be caught without one. It will save you from a lifetime of hurt.( Is this girl, who was turned on to you by a couple friends the one? Of course not. You aren't looking for love
and never lie to a girl unless you have to about it. Ok Ok, but they will lie to you, how they will lie....
And you don't need to spend a lot of money on them.
Spend it on yourself, from your watch to your hair and down to your feet, dress well, respect yourself
and get to know yourself. If your car is old, keep it clean and in perfect working order. When you do that, you will start attracting the ladies. After all, they
assume dopes will always hang around them and it's true isn't it? Hoping for a few crumbs, there they are, the queenbee and her drones. A lot of guys, and girls too, end up married with kids and no way out of the situation except through messy divorces
with the guy paying and kicking himself. What does he do? He jumps in right away and gets married to someone like himself. They both end up losing because they never had a chance to live as kids and young people in college who have fun and meet lots of people to go out with.
Right now, you are in a great position. No responsibilities. Keep it that way. Finish school.
Work for awhile and see how eazy it is to accumulate nice things, as opposed to working a job you hate cause you got some girl pregnant. It's not a life sentence, but for some it is. Be prepared to buy your clothes at k-mart and your shoes at pay-less and wear a timex, and drive an old stationwagon. Good luck.

I think it is the adventure and excitement of assholes poke and go thing that they found exciting. Most of the teenage girls are in a hurry to discover the ultimate and in doing so many get into trouble. Some recover some don't.

Women like excitement, they thrive on drama. Dating an unreliable guy gives them something to obsess over. Then if they can change the guy the get the frog to a prince fairy tail. It has nothing to do with you. Women just don't wise up until they are old and been screwed over. By then however, you are looking at younger women anyway so you get called a pig. Men can not win in society.

LOL. I hate to tell you this, but we will never stop being confusing. A lot of times its the "nice guys" that are also the shy ones, this can definitely turn us off...I know I like a guy that will come up to me and let me know how he feels, I think this is one of the problems "nice guys" have...
