My boyfriend and I broke up because he says he doesn't care about me paying him back the money but that the effort wasn't there...

I've realized I have a problem with money...I spend it too easily and have trouble paying it back...

I wish I could turn back time and not borrow all of it, but I can't...I've sincerely apologized for not making the intent to pay him back...

All I have to do now is just wait and see if he accepts it or not...

I hate how money is the one thing that causes most of the problems in everyone's life....

Mine especially....I have credit card bills to pay back and debts that I owe to people...

I wish he would forgive me...I've told him I know that it's my fault we split up because of the money and not paying him back...I've admitted the problem and stated how deeply sorry I am and have meant it...I'm only human...I've made a mistake and now I wish to redeem it and show him how I can really be for there for him and be a better person to him...

I have 3 ideas, one is to save up, cut costs, and more gain money.

To save up, pay all of the bills first, and then save about 80% to get out of debt. The other 20% is for fun. You got to also have fun while you are at.

To cut cost, move into apartment or a cheaper one. Would you rather spend $1500/month for a house or $600/month and live an apartment. I know that a house is nice, but apartment is not as nice, but at least you will have place to live in. Also, 50% of the Electricity bill comes from heating. Insulate the water heater, use fans to cool your house/apartment, wear a sweater in the winter instead burning gas to keep your place warm unless it is really cold.

To gain more is to pay off your debts, then your payments will go lower because... $1,000 bill(0.20 interest)1year = $200 interest + $1000 = $1,200/12months = $100/month. But if you pay twice as much then you can pay the bill off twice as fast. It will cost you $100 less because you paid off the bill faster. For example, $183for 6 months = $1100 total instead of 100*12 = $1200 total. Some companies charge more interest, so pay off the high interest bills first.

Since you have acknowledged that you have a problem keeping money, you should do something about it. Develop a healthy and respectful attitude towards money. Otherwise, this is not the only relationship you will lose. You may even lose a potential husband or long-term relationship as a thinking man would have trepidation getting into a relationship that might drag him into debt like quicksand.

You're focus is completely off. Don't focus on him. Focus on you. It simply isn't enough to apologize. You have to change your habits.

If you want him as a friend then really examine why you have money issues. Put together a written budget. Stop spending cash you don't have. Put a line in the budget for paying back your friend.

If you want him as a friend, then show him you've changed your ways. Change your ways in any event.

Stop being a victim here, and take control. You can control your money or your money can control you.
