I know I'm going to lose the points but I think it's time for you to shut up. You are wrong and generalizing a stereotype. I've never found this to be true.

I'm originally from India, and I've seen the "arguments for the sake of arguments" thing quite a bit in my Dad's friends and even some of my friends. Some of them do it for pure entertainment value. And it might be more prevalent in them, but this is not only an Indian or Pakistani thing. I have friends from other cultures who are just waiting to pounce on a topic to argue.
Besides, the fact that you ended your question with "even when they have lost...." shows that you continue arguments till the point that one "loses". When there's a win-loss column involved, egos come into play and it's obvious people will continue to dish out whatever logic they can come up with...My recommendation "stop once the discussion starts to become illogical"

First of all, I doubt that you have argued with every single Indian and Pakistani person in the world. And second of all, its only your opinion that you've won the argument. Your viewpoint will differ from theres. Try to cut down on your over confidense in your beliefs.

Well, I am sicilian and I can tell you my family is the same way. Like you, I tend to shaddup when I know i'm wrong or the argument is over. However, I think most of my family likes to argue for the sake of arguing. It's like a sport and they think it's fun, even if their arguments make no sense whatsoever. Perhaps it's the same way?

It is cultural. I've noticed some cultures where the people continue arguing--even after they've won!
It's better for your blood pressure to simply refuse to argue with people who don't use the same logic as you.

By that logic, my mother is Pakistani then.
And she is not.
It may be a cultural thing but every culture has people like that, not just the Indian or Pakistani peoples.
