The changes are NOT drastic. But some people are trying to say that it is drastic. Global warming is a very minor thing. It has happened many times in the past due to natural causes and then reversed itself. The present event, assuming it is caused by us burning coal and oil, will end when the world runs out of coal and oil. Oil runs out in 100 years and coal in 500. That is just nothing on a geological time scale. And during those 500 years the climate will not get any warmer than it has done many times in the past. And those past times were good for life, not bad. All polar ice melting seems drastic only because it hasn't happened in recorded human history, but it HAS happened many times before the start of human history. There was no polar ice in the time of the dinosaurs for example.
The real problem is, how do we maintain our energy based civilization after coal and oil runs out. If we can't, then THAT will be a drastic change. For this reason I support all alternative energy projects.

There is no drastic change. You have been led to believe that by fearmongers.
Climate is unpredictable and is always changing. Human impact has been very small.
The reason for recent warming has been increased heat energy from the sun, believe it or not. It is the main driver for temperature and climate.
Stop being so afraid of a catastrophe. It's not coming from climate change. Be more afraid of nuclear weapons and religious fundamentalism. Those are real threats, as opposed to fictitious ones.
P.S loose-change, for your information the Antarctic continent has gained a huge amount of mass in recent times. And another little fun fact is that hundreds of years ago, there barely was any Arctic ice.
Those pictures you see of huge slabs of ice breaking off into the sea, that's a regular event called the Spring breakup. It's completely normal and happens every year.

Air pollution is what is causing the polar ice caps to melt at an alarming rate. It may already be irreversible but I honestly just don't know. Without the white polar caps reflecting some of the sun's energy back into space, the Earth's albedo (reflective index) goes down and the temperature goes up. It is a runaway effect in the sense that the more ice melts, the warmer it gets, which means even more ice melts, which means it gets even warmer, and so on and so on and so on.

In reality, there has been no drastic change unless you consider a degree as drastic and even that is in contention. It has been generally warming for thousands of years. There was cool period in the 1960s and 1970s. The only drastic change is the degree of fanaticism by some that are trying to perpetrate a hoax on an ignorant public.

do no longer hassle, Gaia will survive long after the human race is as airborne dirt and dust. we could desire to consistently no longer waste our time irritating, basically prepare your life around the potential of flooding, (ie, do no longer purchase or build a house on low laying land or flood planes). that's us that desires saving no longer the Earth. possibly if we had respected Gaia greater interior the previous this would not be going on now, yet as that's, prepare, plan and get on with your life. the international has been in circumstances simular to this all throughout it relatively is historic previous, and if society became into to interrupt down there may well be many cleaver people who might have arranged for this journey, (like myself) and can upward thrust from the flooded towns to construct wish a clean. Humanity has survived for over 4 billion years, and we are able to stay at here few billion, if we don't that's going to be an end of our making, no longer certainly one of nature.

the depletion of the ozone will ultimately lead to the next ice age. holes in the ozone will superheat the ice caps. All the water being put into the ocean will slowdown the ocean currents because of the cold water on the bottom this will cause the warm air that is normaly tranferred by ocean currents to no circulate as well and cause the temperature to drop creating the next ice age.
