He's an example of the worst kind of "Christian," judgmental, closed-minded, arrogant, obnoxious, self-righteous, and hostile. He's not doing himself, his religion, or anybody else any favors with his rants. And of COURSE he says he's doing it to "save souls" - that's part of the arrogance. It's amazing how "religious" people will excuse their bad behavior by claiming that they're doing it because they "love" you. And when you react against it, as of course you will if you have any self-respect, they go "Yeah, Jesus told us we'd be hated for following him!"

I am sure that CJ is doing what he thinks is the correct thing. We all do that at one time or other when we yearn for approval. Let us pray a rosary for him, and see what then happens. Would you do this? After all, did not Christ exhort us to love our enemies? Both CJ and you should realize this, and if you consider one another an enemy, whose ever prayer is the most powerful will win.
I put my bets on you Midge, of course, having seen the power of the BVM...perhaps CJ merely needs to spiritually meet her to truly understand...
Peace be with you.

We are not saved by works. We are saved to do good works. I haven't read lots of what CJ has posted. It looks to me, however, like CJ has that figured out by what little I've seen.
Ephesians 2:8-10 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, (9) not of works, that no one would boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.

Who CJ is i know not, but Jesus i know, and Paul i know, and both taught very clearly that no one can be saved who trusts in their personal merit, or that of the church (which most in Rome do). But when they abased themselves as unworthy sinners, destitute of any merit whereby one may escape Hell and gain Heaven, and instead cast all their faith upon Christ and His blood for justification and regeneration (Rm. 3:9 - 5:8; Eph. 1:13; Titus 3:5), then are forgiven and justified by the imputed righteous of Christ, made alive by His life-giving Holy Spirit (Rm. 3:25-5:1; 2Cor. 5:21).
Yet the only KIND of faith that saves in one that follows Christ (Jn. 10:27), which brings forth fruit the evidences repentance (Acts 26:20; Heb. 6:9), and without which it is dead - and the souls is damned. As are those who "profess they know God; but in works they deny him" (Titus 1:16).

I supose "working" in here is just for fun.
Kidding! CJ is doing what we all are doing, sharing our point of view and trying to make others understand it. That doesn't mean I agree with him, I'm not exactly in his defense
EDIT: I completely agree with beta_fishy

Simple answer is that he's a hypocrite. He thinks he's God why else whould he say half the stuff that he says and condemn people to hell? That's my take on it anyway.
