While all others will be in hell to rot for an eternity? Isn't that passing a judgment and playing the role of God?

I am a fundamentalist Christian in terms of believing the Bible should be understood in the literal sense -- not in the sense of the "Christian right" which is the usual definition of a fundamentalist.

Your question states, "Why do you believe that you will be the only CHRISTIANS in heaven." I take this to mean that you think that I believe that other Christians will not be in heaven. Nothing could be further from the truth: ALL true Christians will be in heaven: Lutherans, Catholics, Baptists, Pentecostals, Episcopaleans, you name it -- every denomination or non-denomination. God is not interested in denomination or non-denomination anyway: He is interested in the heart. Any person who has come to the end of "self", repented, turned to Jesus to be healed -- saved from the power of sin and of death -- any person who truly believes and ACTS on that belief, will be in heaven when they die.

Any person who does NOT believe, whether or not the person professes to be a Christian, will not go to heaven. Only God knows the heart -- it is never, EVER my place to judge whether or not a person is a genuine believer. All I can do is witness to what is in the Bible about salvation and about the "fruit" (deeds) of the Spirit. Only God Judges; Only God Saves -- I am merely a witness to the Bible and God's work in my life.

Because the "Church" that puts that out wants the money. Anyone with half a brain (or more) can read for themselves. The rest is just pure "D" bull.
That's what I think, folks. Bring it! if you have a problem! }:>
A "church" that talks that kind of "scare-tactic" isn't a "holy" anything. It's NOT! the "religion" you belong to; it's the way you live.
Either you accept Jesus as the Christ, or you don't. And, if I'm not mistaken, the Bible says people who are "uniformed" are exempt.
Kinda makes you wish you fell into THAT catagory, doesn't it?

Do these people HONESTLY BELIEVE they are the only ones that will be "saved"?? What a load.

I'm not any kind of a Christian, but I'll hazard a guess: the fundie/evangie type think that the Biblical god is working through them.

That's their excuse for their most outrageous behavior.

CJ, newsflash for ya - YOU are NOT God. I know I know, that hurts your feelings but get over it.

Luckily for all the God-fearing people in this world (that you condemn) your judgment doesn't mean squat.

I am a evangelical Christian and have never thought I had the market on salvation. God will have mercy upon whom he desires. It is not anyones place to judge to who God will show his mercy. I think we will be surprised at some of the people we will find in eternity.

Well, if we "must be born again" as some are asserting, looks like I'm okay.

<-------------------------

But all the same I'm going to put my hope of heaven in Christ, and Him alone, rather than the opinion of someone who thinks he/she knows the mind of God.

We believe that all chrisians will be in heaven, we don't play God but are telling you what God says and that is unless you have asked him into your life then you will go to hell for eternity. It is a fact.

Most who believe this will not make it to heaven themselves.

That belief you describe is very scary.

What about all those millions (billions?) who never had access to a Bible during their life? What about all those who were raised in another land, in another religion, who never even heard the name Jesus Christ?

To assume that all these are going condemned to eternal torment is a mockery of the mercy and love of God, and it is a gross misunderstanding of the scriptures.
