Money isn't the root of all evil; the LOVE of it is! If you put money before God, then it becomes evil! God doesn't want us to live in poverty, but he also wants us to sow it willingly out so that he can bless it for God loves a cheerful giver!

you were taught wrong.

money is neither Good or Evil. only the one who uses the money has morality. money is a tool. like a hammer it does not care what you nail with it. a person can use it for good building a home for another. or a person could use it to bludgeon another to death. does either of these make the hammer Good or Evil? NO, it is the person wielding the instrument that is good or evil.

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

it is the "Love " of money (greed/materialism/selfishness) that is the root of evil.

Money is just a piece of paper used to purchase things. It's the persons thought behind the money that makes it good or evil.

If you really think about it, money is the root of all good. As far as corruption goes, corruptible people can be corrupted if we were still using a barter system.

The origin of the term was the expression, 'Don't throw good money after bad." This refers to knowing how to tell if you have made a bad investment and stop contributing to it. Good money being valuable assets and bad money being liabilities that have lost all value.

there is nothing wrong with being well to do. The only people who say its evil are on penwelie or are in the low income class believe me if they had what I had they wouldn't be saying things like that. Its only the poor that believe that money is the root of evil its their way of justifying there lack of wealth and they say that just so they don't feel as bad.
they are just jealous of people like me

I think it would be wise to say that if used incorrectly, money is the root of all evil for it can turn one's self greedy.

Money Laundering! PS, did you all know that a Laundromat is a great way to launder money? No, seriously, think about it. Say you're dealing drugs or stealing, or whatever. Laundromats are cash businesses, so you claim that you made the money in your washers! Great bit of situational irony there...n'est pas?

You have a mistranslation.

The root of all evil is the LOVE of money.
Money cannot be inherently bad or good, it is just a thing.

Clement of Alexandria pointed out very early that Christ commanded us to always be giving and helping others, which necessarily means we should be making more than we need - but should not be hoarding it to any great extent. John Wesley gave a sermon in which he said the good Christian profits as much as they can, stewards the wealth as well as they can, and gives away as much as they can. I want to be reflecting that model as much as I am able.

"Can you turn BAD MONEY into GOOD MONEY, and how do you do it?"

Money is a tool, to the extent you use it ethically and lovingly it is inherently good.
