Hi,I am a great enthusiast of going to the gym, where I split my time between cardio work..running, and strength/weight training..muscle building.
I've not been since last wed due to flu.
I hope to get back later this week.
Will I lose much strength and fitness due to my missed week/flu?
Or is strength/fitness not lost in a week?

Ease back into it. You won't lose much strenght. It is also necessary to take a week off every few months to give the body a rest.

Exercise is stress and you will sometimes need a break. If you are sick, it's the perfect time to back off.

Don't worry about it.

Keep up the good work!

You shouldn't lose your knack in a week, but you should take it easy while getting over the flu. Your immune system is still weak, and overdoing it could leave you open to catching more bugs.

One week won't make much difference in strength or stamina. If you were to miss 3 or 4 weeks straight, you'd prob. notice, depending on how in shape you are.
