I think so, a friend of mine has a major overbite to the point where she can put her thumb thru the distance. She had braces and I think she said it was to push her teeth back so she doesnt have such a bad overbite. I have braces too and my front teeth have been pushed back a little.

Yes, it can because all an over bite is when your back teeth push out so they have room pushing your current teeth forward causing an overbite an easy fix to this problem is go to a dentist so he/she can make an appointment for you to get surgery if you need one if its bad so that your teeth may go back to their correct postion so you may have a beautiful smile.

Not braces alone, you will probably need braces and a herbst retainer. See an orthodontist.

A herbst retainer goes over your bottom teeth and has a hinge that connects to your top teeth, and helps pull your lower jaw forward to meet your front teeth.

You will probably have to get a retainer... i had a overbite and they gave me a retainer it places your bottom jaw forward so it is lined up with your top jaw. After wearing it for a few months it really works! You wont even be able to move your bottom jaw back to wear it was! You should def see an orthodontist!

That's what braces are supposed to do. Straighten teeth and correct over or under bites. I had an over bite and braces fixed it.

Yes they can. A lot of people get it. Just go to the local dentist and see if they do it. But what I would do personally is shop around at different dentists' offices and see the prices and their credentials. (i think i spelled that right)

yes that was why i wore braces as a teen to correct an over bite, and the lips are irrelevant

yes!! Thats what braces are for! I find an overbite cute on girls... as long as its not too serious, it really looks cute.
