I need to change my headlight bulb on my 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. I got the bulb but it didn't come with instructions. So if anyone can help that would be great. Thanks everyone.

The bulb you picked up should be a 9006, This bulb is changed from under the hood. Go to the side that is burned out and unplug the three wire connector, you will have to push back a lock tab to do this. Then unscrew the ring that holds the bulb into the composite headlamp assembly. Don't touch the glass of the new bulb, If you do, clean it with a aolchol wipe. Push your new bulb in (It will only go in one way) screw on the ring and reconnect the wires

Open hood and dislocate the plastic cover over the headlamp. Then pry the lock tab on the electrical connector up a little, but don't break it. Then unscrew the holder or depress and rotate the holder depending on what type you have and the bulb just pops out.

check the owners manual. if you dont have one lift up the hood and look behind the headlight you should see where the plug is going into the housing. Normally it take just a little turn and it will pop out. then change the bulb, put light back in the housing and close hood. all done
