I got a full sleeve started a week ago and the itching is killing me. Regular Lotion that my artist gave me isnt working.

Any help?

Haha I feel your pain, that is the worst itch ever.

Unfortunately, just use lubrederm or eucerin..I'm pretty sure I spelled both of those wrong. I would check with your artist before you try anything else anyone suggest.

I actually used ice packs, it helps a little bit but it is not a miracle worker. Just throw a couple sacks of frozen peas or something on your arms and be patient.

Good luck and congrats on the new sleeves.

Sorry, but there's nothing you can do about the itching. Your skin is healing. Don't scratch it though because you'll mess up your tattoo. I have quite a few tattoos so I know how the itching can be hell. Feel your pain, but the itching will stop or you'll become use to it. You're gonna have to just stick it out.

Clamshell and somebody are right...there are no cures for the tattoo itch. Sorry hun, but you're just gonna have to suck it up and take it like a man. Ice helps a little, I think that slapping it makes it worse, but the true trick is to not think about it. Do something that keeps you busy and keeps your mind off of the itch. It sucks, but the result (the healed tattoo) is beautiful.

nothing is going to make it stop itching except being healed. you SHOULD NOT use any anti-itch product on it. you can keep it cool by putting an ice pack wrapped in a towel on it and that may help. also you can lightly slap it and it will effectively itch it for you but i find that slapping leads to MORE itching. really you just have to grin and bear it.

itching = healing. try polysporin to keep it bacyteria-free.
