If you accelerated to beyond the school zone speed before you passed the resume sign, then you're guilty.
Otherwise, you need to be realistic and understand that if it comes to your word against the police officer's, the court will not take your side unless you have some solid evidence to back you up.

yeah, this is sucky. the street signs that tell you about speed assume that there is no school zone around, or that if the school weren't there, the speed would be ---. And then, once a school is there, the rule applies, but the signs aren't required to be changed. the school zone rule takes precendent. imagine the school zone being like a construction zone, temporary, even though schools aren't temporary. I know, it sucks.

LOOK UP TRAFFIC LAWS /SCHOOLS IN YOUR HOME TOWN ALSO UNDER DOT (DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION) YOU WILL FIND ALL THE SIGNS USED ON ROADWAYS.
SIGN HAS TO BE POSTED AS WHAT THE SPEED LIMIT IS IN THAT SPECIFIC AREA IE 25 15 20 MPH ETC.
