Dizziness but specifically with the sensation of motion like the world is spinning around you or rocking beneath you. It's also often accompanied by nausea/vomiting and very unsteady gait.
Spin around in place really quickly for 30 secs and that will give you and idea what it feels like.

Vertigo is basically when you are sitting still you're more or less fine, but if you stand up or move around you feel dizzy, lose your balance, feel like things are spinning around you. You might feel a little nausea, too. If it's really severe, you might feel this way when just turning your head, or if it's a mild case, it might just be if you move around a lot or get in a moving vehicle. Vertigo is generally a sign of an inner ear problem. Your inner ear is extremely important for balance and perception. If you have these symptoms for longer than a few hours, see a doctor right away.

When I had it, I walked like I'd had too many drinks! Loss of balance is high on the list!
