Why don't you get one of those frames that hold a bunch of different pictures Walmart or Zellers sells them for about 12.00 and then go through your old pictures and pick out the ones that mean alot to your husband, put in pictures of your wedding day, birth of children, happy times and don't forget to include anyone he might have lost in the past. I did this for my brother in law and he was so moved he started tearing up, I was so surprised by how much he loved it and how good it made him feel. He had also lost a best friend so I made sure to include two pictures of them having fun together well it was a hit and it didn't cost much it just took some time. So from now on if I want to really give someone something special thats what I do. But you have to make sure the pictures are ones you know HE would like not ones that you like the best. Good luck and I hope you like this idea.

A way to a mans heart is through his stomach and I believe this will all my heart.

If you have kids, see if you can get someone to watch the kids if only for a few hours and make him a wonderful candle lit dinner, with you as dessert. Hand make a card by hitting up Michael's (it means so much more) and hand make a little "coupon book" that has things such as:

(1) Free "Get out of doing trash" pass (or whatever his chore may be)
(1) Free "Back Massage" pass
(1) Free "Full Body Massage" pass
(1) Free "Foot Rub" pass

You get the idea!

Also, if you wanted to add a movie onto the dinner, you could either rent a movie or call your local movie theater and check to see what night of the week they do their special. Every theater usually has a Tuesday or Wednesday night where they only charge like $5.00 per person.

Congratulations!

a nice gift would be something close to your husband's heart... And a good gift must be personalize... a craft made by you! It would be best if you research or ask for gift and craft ideas and let your imagination and creativity do the rest. On that case, you won't spend too much at the same time it is special since it is made by you... Afterwards, it will be a private session between you guys! goodluck! HAppy 25th wedding Anniversary!

If he is a sports fan, maybe a personalized jersey from his favorite team, cook him an exquisite meal you might not ordinarily make, a 'budoir portrait'? (Most of these are really classy)....

Mine's getting a whack upside the head! (Just kidding). Seriously, he is getting my law school graduation debt - but he gets to be married to a lawyer (poor man!)(hopefully I will survive the next 3.5 years)! Since we will be broke (again - or maybe still because I'm hoping to not work at all during the school year), I plan on a quiet weekend get away. Take him to a nice restaurant. MAYBE just MAYBE if he is really good... I'll splurge on Disneyland tickets.

I try to think of things that my husband and I enjoy doing together; and then develop my ideas from there.

Several times; I've arranged alone time for us, and then made a up a tray for us to share. For example, one year I did red wine, wine glasses, homemade fudge, a card, and a music CD that he had mentioned that he wanted.

You could:

prepare his favorite meal

get a wallet sized photo of the two of you and write a note on the back of it

Buy him a book or DVD that reminds you of him

Create an electronic greeting card and send it to him (last year I sent my husband and email with the song "Two Tickets to Paradise"...because I wanted to run away way with him.)

Put together a photo slide show, using photos of the two of you. Some programs allow you to add music, this is fun if you have access to the software. You can insert slides that include written messages. Leave him notes that lead him to open up the slide show.

Give him a massage.

How about a nice double picture frame with a picture from your wedding and a recent picture of the two of you. Instead of buying a card, write him a letter from your heart telling him how much the past 25 years have meant to you.
Congratulations!!

make his fave dinner, set the table pretty, run a nice bubble bath, throw his robe in the dryer to warm. when he gets home from work, toss him in the tub, bring him his fave drink, and let him have a good soak! when he is ready to get out, give him his warmed robe from the dryer, put his dinner on the table and have a wonderful evening. it works every time!!!!
