I have been dating a girl (shes 24 am 26) for 2 months. On friday(my birthday actually)i asked her where i stood with her. she told me she liked me,but she wanted to take things slowly cause she broke up with her Boyfriend(one and only bf)on valentines day(8months ago)she also told me she fancies this guy at her work but he is going out with someone and she knows nothing will happen there.so i said to her will i just walk away now and she said she wouldnt like not to see me again. then i asked her if i could kiss other people(i said i wouldnt like her to)and she said she wouldnt like me to be with other people so we both agreed on this.she also said she would like to spend the following nite with her friend cause she hadnt seen them in a long while and not see me cause she didnt know how long i was gonna be around and friends were important(i agreed of course).since she has texted me and acted like everything is ok.she said she knew me better now since havin this talk.THIS ALL MEANS ?

Don't let this girl string you along like that. You've pretty much let her know she has the upper hand here and it sounds like she's taking atvantage. To her, you're a filler - someone nice and sweet to keep her mind busy until something else comes along. If she just likes you, fine. But, you should definitely see other people, especially since she told you she likes some other dude and is secretly hoping he dumps his girlfriend.
Some women will literally drag you through the mud, giving you a false sense of hope when they don't intend on ever being with you in a serious relationship. Don't let her do that to you.

She's leery of a serious relationship right now, and maybe it's because of the old bad relationship or needing to be with her friends more for the time being, but the bottom line is that while she likes you, she isn't ready to commit.
Give her some space, don't crowd her, and DON'T ask her permission to kiss someone else. You're giving her all the power in this relationship. It has to be more equal if it's going to work.

well some times it takes a LONG time to get over a realtionship for 8 months.....but she will move on and maybe you are the guy, so give her time and space, do something cute for he that makes her smile and want to be with you later! Make her get her mind off the other guy, that for one isnt single and you are. So your her choice.....dont let her want the other guy, let her get to know your fun side and just be yourself. Dont make her feel bad if she didnt text you back or forgot to call, because she probably just got busy, so dont be mad. Maybe you too will date very soon, she just needs to know your the right one, help her notice that!
BUT you might also be her extra just incase things dont work with the other guy.so be careful and ready for whatever come at you!

Here's the deal.....brace yourself for the honesty.
She wants her cake and wants to eat it too. She is telling you that she's not ready to be serious. She wants to play the field. If you're not of the same mindset, then move on.
Don't make concessions that you won't kiss others.
She is hedging her bet. If the others don't work out you are a fall back plan.

You are nice to have around, but nothing more. Accept she sees you as a friend and has no real feelings for you otherwise and move on. Life is long, there's plenty of fish in the sea and you deserve better.

It means she is keeping you as back up. How can you want to be with her when she is clearly not over her x and has her eye on another guy who is in a relationship? Do yourself a favour and give her the push before she makes you into a total laughing stock.
