How do you keep out of trouble with men?

I already learnt by bitter experience that you can't talk to them,
then they imagine things and pester you (it does not matter if you talk about serious things, they still imagine that you fancy them).
Then I learned that it wad dangerous even to look at them and not only at them but at their direction at all - it means that you want them.
But when a neighbour of mine accosted me on my own balcony (not exactly the neighbour, but a man from the next doorway, just our balconies are close), and I never talked or looked at him, and want nothing, but he somehow imagined that if I lived close, he can have me for asking - I've had enough. What should a woman do to be left alone and in piece? Wear a burka, or will they then accost her trying to peep
behind it?

NY, am uncertain as to what kind of messages you are sending out to these men or if you are living in some kind of nutty neighbourhood. But it sounds as if these guys are either really egotistical or else not in touch with reality. Perhaps you are unintentionally flirting with these guys or appear to them to be lonely and they are think they are going to be the knight to save you. Regardless you need to let them know up front that you are not interested in them if things start to get out of order. Shame that some guys carry on like that as it gives the rest of the male race a bad rap. Perhaps booze and/or other substances are involved in some of these interactions and these guys are wearing some kind of false bravado. Regardless continue to be yourself and if they cannot accept that you are just a nice friendly female then try and find other males with whom to have friendships with. Best of luck.

Or, go live out in the woods alone.
